Dvi Output Card

Hey everyone, I am looking into buying a new DVI card for my lcd. I want the lowest price possible that you know of that would have dvi output. Right now, I have a Geforce4 MX420, which has no dvi output, and is avg. I want something that is as close as you can get to the performance of it. I dont want to spend more than $50-60 if it's possible. Thanks.

This Sapphire Radeon 9200 would do the job nicely. While it doesn't have lots of 3D gaming power (but still enough for a light gamer) it has the excellent 2D from it's older siblings.

I've had the same problem last week, and went for this card. Comes with SVideo-RCA pigtail adapter and a DVI-VGA adapter dongle you won't need. 45 euros, should be around $45 just as well.

I was in your shoes last week. I went for this Matrox G450 for $35.
I thought that was the lowest priced DVI card for good 2D quality.

G450 if you want the best image quality, 9200 is you do some gaming.

There are no image quality differences on DVI. It's a digital signal - it either gets there or it doesn't. If it does, it's 100 percent pixel perfect.

Well.. I do play ultima online, will the g450 be worse than this geforce4 mx420 i have now? I really don't want it to be worse.. i just want it to have dvi.

The G450 is old and wasn't exactly fast even when it was new. Get a 9200.

G450 max 1280x1024 DVI resolution if thats a concern
