DVI Quick question.....

When you buy a monitor that has the DVI Plug do you need an external power source or does it draw power off the card? I thought they were supposed to draw power off of the video card. Was looking in to flat panel monitors for a system that may be used for travel (ie hooking up in a van via power adaptor) to play games DVDs etc.

Anyone share some knowlegde on this?

No, DVI does not draw power off the video card. You're probably thinking of ADB (Apple Desktop Bus), which is DVI but with power and USB built in, used by Apple for their Cinema Displays.
