Look, you have no credibility in this discussion.

- You have no personal experience of the product you bash
- You provide only negative reports, not positve for balance (I have only provided counter reports, it's true)
- Which? magazine was launched in 1957 by Consumers' Association, an independent charity

1957. Yeah, these guys are real fly-by-nights. Consider yourself owned.

you comparing "i saw the results" anacdotal evidence to real tests? sorry thats just self delusion and you know it.

and really you've used every vacumn out there? how can you have a opinion on anything if you haven't used everything huh? you have to trust tests from somewhere or else it becomes absurd.

and no, windtunnels aren't 20 dollars. i guess your yuppy spending puts you that out of touch with the common man eh?

i provide only negative reports? lol, i said the hoover won the top ranking, tthats positive, and some of the lower hoovers also were near the top.

and credibility? sorry, you are the one basing everything on anecdotal evidence. to talk of credibility is pretty funny for you.

and stop bringing up which magazine. it doesn't matter if one of the hoovers was a dud, it doesn't mean the dyson is top of the class, its average meaning most vacumns will perform as it would too. use reason. critical thinking. and really, consider yourself owned? lol i think you are just angry that your wallet is that much lighter and u gotta make urself feel better.

I would hope it sucks, wouldn't be very useful if it didn't. I second the recommendation for the floormate, so easy to use that even I clean the tile.

I am more than happy with my Dyson. I've never had a vacuum this good and I've had many. In fact, I have a Dyson, Roomba, Shopvac, Bissel, Shark and a couple more in my house at this moment and nothing has worked this well.

I am definitely a convert to Dyson.

Did consumer reports give the others a better score because the price to value ratio may have gone toward others? Is it possible that dyson ranks above most other vacuums on their cleaning ability, just not the price aspect?

That being said, I own a dyson, and it works pretty darn good.

Yeah, lets have it.

you ARE a MORON. we don't link to consumer reports because its a subscription site. you pay to see you get it?

that being said its no big secret ok? its been dyson sucking in two review lineups already. your local library has FREE access to consumer reports in the reference section if you care to know the truth. but i doubt you do. ignorance is bliss, or atleast less painful than regret of being ripped off like a chump.

no, they give marks on each, cleaning ability, ease of use, suction power..etc. the dyson is average in the matters of cleaning and suction.

No, I am not, stop clutching at straws.

Secondly, no, but as I am now 32 I've used quite a few. I can have an opinion because I've used it, you have not. Lets hear you tell us what a Bugatti Veyron is like to drive, 'cause you sure as hell know alot about stuff you've never used. I really can't wait to hear how you didn't get the back to step out when you didn't take it to a track, whilst you weren't test driving that yuppie car.

The real test I refered to AND linked to shows an 86% pickup. Yeah, thats really bad. I'd be a really sad Panda if only 86% of the dust was picked up in the first pass. I trust the test because the people who did it have been doing it since 1957. But that must be irrelevant because you 'have never heard of them'.

If you have a chip on your shoulder about people spending hard earned cash on whatever they like I suggest you keep it to yourself. It's been self evident since you started this tirade that you are more concerned about the price and wnt to deride those who pay it as 'yuppies' or whatever you choose to call them.

Keep the insults out of it, and put up the links that have been asked for.

My place is all tile. I find vacuuming helps but you really need to mop to get all the grit. I do a quick vacuum before mopping to get rid of pet hair and a portion of the dirt.

name calling? hilarious. you got personal first. and of course i called you that, most people should know its a subscription site. and no i don't have a subscription, so you'll have to find someone else to do it for you. i don't expect you to look it up for youself since you'd really rather not know. its pretty easy to prove if i'm lying or not, go look it up yourself. its not a secret.

lol, you just don't get it. really... if i read in consumer reports that the bugatti Veryon went 0-60 in X seconds i would trust that number. i could honestly compare to another car and say X car is faster then X car from 0-60. you couldn't say "oh noes you didn't drive a bugatti, how can you say it does 0-60 in X seconds"!!! thats bullsh*t and you know it. and no vacumn cleaners just clean, its just a 0-60 kind of spec that applies, vacumn cleaners dont' go around a track. they just suck up dirt.

You don't get it do you. You told me I was swindled, but you don't have any evidence that I was. You are making it all up because, in reality, you just get upset because you can't afford it. Yeah, I said it. About time too. I tried to let the chip ride, but you just got the nerve because some people have the money and you don't. I'm not brash with my cash, I can tell you, but heres the thing:

Value is determined by the purchaser, not some 15yr old with a chip on his shoulder.

Stop talking smack about stuff you can't comment on.

We have tile throughout the house and four cats. The tile includes saltillo, ceramic, and stone. The grout is deeply inset on some of the ceramic and more or less even with the top of the tile on the saltillo. The only method I've come up with for vacuuming it that works is to use a shop vac. It is a drag. I use ear plugs to block the noise and the house ends up a few degrees warmer by the time I'm done. The outflow from the vac can blow pictures off the walls if I don't watch the nozzle.

lol thats the kind of arguement i expected, you "can't afford it". sorry, "you can't afford it" isn't an arguement, i'm not envious. and frankly even if i were it doesn't take away from its poor test results. so really, stop embarrassing yourself. you are just showing all the signs of someone who's spent a lot of money on something they really didn't look into and have to justify their rash decision. as i said one can purchase pretty things for lots of money and its fine. just as long as you aren't deluding yourself that you are buying more than you are. but you aren't that self aware, you are just buying marketing tripe and justifying your expensive purchase.

you don't seem to get the point of how poor your analogy is and how it actually destroys your own position eh?

and don't bring up the bugatti really. its very expensive but atleast it has a huge powerful engine. the dyson is like a bugatti with a v6

I tried to save you from yourself, as it was eveident from your first post that your hatred was class related. You pushed and I gave in, my bad, but you asked for it.

You say it was rash, but thats because you were with me every step of the way whilst I purchased it. My little vacuum friend, OrooOroo, who always accompanies me when I buy stuff. So thats right, I made a rash decision, bought a really expensive vac that can't pull the skin off warm milk.

The test results are in your mind until you pony them up!
