E2xx0 and Temps

I have an E2180 OCed to 3.2 (320x10) at 1.385 V. The E2180 is an M0 stepping processor, and CoreTemp 0.95.4 is reporting my Tjunction to be 85C. Is this 85C correct, or is it actually 100C?

My idle temps are currently 34/33 on the 2 cores, and I estimate ambient temperature to be 29C. Those temps sound great to me, but I just don't know if I buy them. I'm using an AC Freezer Pro 7 and I believe it is seated properly, but I'm starting to doubt that.

Does anyone have any idea what my temps actually are?


I have also used SpeedFan 4.34 Beta 34 to read my temps and it reports the same as CoreTemp. I have heard this beta version of SpeedFan addresses the +15C issue everyone was dealing with for certain processors.

EDIT: I forgot to mention both side panels are off, even the front panel on the PC. Maybe this would allow for my temps to be so close to ambient...that is if the Tjunction is indeed 85C.

What is your problem? Why do you care what your Tjunction is at, you are nowhere near it, especially at idle?

Why not run some stress testing so you can determine how hot your computer is under a load? I'd say you aren't going to break 60C unless your ambient temps go up, 60C is just fine for 24/7 use with these CPUS. That's 25C away from the 85C Tjunct. temp.

Why is your case wide open? Your CPU is using electricity to do work, getting your CPU to ambient temps is impossible. Close it up, run some stress testing and come back if you break 60C.

How do i know for sure you are alright? I'm running an E2160 @ 3.2ghz with the AC7 Pro. I'm using 1.4 volts according to CPUz (don't trust the Bios voltage, use CPUz). I'm Idling at 35C in a warm room, my max load temps running small ffts (max stress) are 60C. My computer ran like that for 16 hours and never produced an error.

Load it up, idle temps are nothing.

E2180 should come with 100C Tjunction. Perhaps Intel has change Tjunction temp with these CPUs. 34C @ 1.385 is too low unless C1E and EIST are enabled, which will drop voltage to less than 1.3V.
