i had a e4300 bf i get this e6750. on that i had 3.2 stable all the way
any ideas? if u event notice yet, i bet u did, OC is not my speciallity...
On this board what i found was that it had alot of fsb holes here and there, and from my experience with e4300 my max clock speed was 3.22 aswell ....
Hmmm .... well here some tips i can provide
Make sure you have also put enough voltage in your mem as rated and try setting the mem timings to auto. default mem voltage is 1.8 on this board so you'll have to +.3Vdimm in bios.
Looking at your memory its rated for 2.1V 4cas which are much better than my transcend which are rated at 1.8V 5cas .... but you need to put the voltage in to make it work at its best .... ... leave the mem timings till last as this sometimes holds you back
save the bios so u don't have to change everything again and again as this can be frustrating ...
northbridge as i stated earlier in this thread gets pretty hot, and have noticed my system being much more stable with a fan blowing on it, try touching it going thru orthos and see how hot it is ....
with Vcore voltage try 1.45V bios which i found to be a reliable vc setting on my board (meaning it gave stable results with my e2160 and e4300) and also 1.475V
another thing that will hold you back is cooling ... keep an eye on your temps aswell as you increase voltage, eg. going over 70C on load with any voltage will tell you that the oc is running too hot and this might be a factor that holds you back ... coretemp 95.4 will tell you correct temps for the G0 steppings
and also i forgot to mention that i disabled HPET in bios ... which i don't think it matters much
well keep us posted on results i'll try posting again when i've thought of something:roll:
