E6750 with P5K(Update Temps)

I just finished putting together my new rig and attaching the heat sink to the CPU (6750) motherboard (Asus P5K) seemed, well a little to easy. I just tried to center the heat sink over the CPU lined up the 4 push pins things and they went in really easy, almost too easy.

This is my first Intel board and is used to the 939 style AMD installs?. Does this sound normal for this CPU motherboard combo? I want to be sure before I turn it on for the first time, tomorrow or the next day (I?m working a lot).

I tried to wiggle it to see if it was loose and it seemed pretty stable. Is this just the way the Intel Heat sinks are attached?

OMG using Asus PC Probe Im idling at 16c? Can this be right.

The only way to find out is probably looking at your temps comparing with what others have with the same chip with stock cooler ... but it is really easy installing stock cooler so if it aint moving when you wiggle it then i would think that you installed it right.

yes, it is really that easy. I just migrated from skt 939. In fact, I even installed a zalman 9700 on my fx55 and another zalman 9700 on a buddy's c2d. It was incredibly easy on the c2d. The 939 install is much easier for me now that I've done it a couple times, but that first time was terrible. btw, I don't think that a stock cooler is that much harder to install on a 939 than a c2d. you just need a flat head screwdriver and about 10 seconds.

OMG using Asus PC Probe Im idling at 17c? Under load with antivirus, windows update installing, and 2 other things that i can't remember, lol maxes at like 30c. Can this be right.
