Wow your an elite member and people are complaining to you. Whether its a cold deal or hot deal im just interested in seeing whats out there. I figure if someones posting it, even if its not a good deal it might just be a post of where to find an item because other retailers might be out of stock.

No matter what Forums are ment to help people in general. If it doesnt help one specific person doesnt really matter and that person should complain because the forum is supposed to help anyone who needs it.

ontopic: I just checked and newegg still has it for $224.99 + free shipping. I did notice alot of people gettting 4ghz+ out of these chips. I am still looking for the right mobo to pair this puppy with before I buy it. I will also probably buy it at newegg cause I'm too lazy to create an account anywhere else.

I remember once making a simple math error in a post, and got totally creamed by the math Nazi for being "elite and dumb." That's why I no longer go to the cesspool known as Off Topic. You think the hardware and hot deals forums are rough? Off Topic (and some other Social forums) is overrun by egos, trolls and kiddies. This goes with every forum everyone thinks they know everything and when some steps in to ask a question or makes a mistake the the forum jumps all over them.

This chip is well worth $224.

So...in financial terms, this post may not be a hot deal....but an Intel 45nm proc w/ 6MB of shared L2 that will run at 4-4.5GHz with some minor voltage tweaking = hot deal.

Once OC'ers find out about these chips en masse and sites like newegg and zzf really start gouging due to the high demand, $224 will probably be a hot deal at that point.
