Eagles vs. Cowboys smack talk

Saw this thread in my cp panel when I logged in and can't resist. Tho since I wasn't here before the game no smak from me.

Let me just say that The NFL in the cap FA erra is a sea of mediocrity where in one year one can go from bengles bad to playoff contender. Just hoard some cap space and picks and whamo.

That said Parcells has proven he's a great coach, the cowboys have been much better than anyone predicted.

However, they have beaten what ONE winning team? check that i'm not sure... but basically they have benifited greatly from a weak schedule.

If they make the playoffs they will have a much tougher schedule next year, so factor that into the "garunteed 15 super bowls in a row" hubris.

anyhoo, asside from the inferiorrity complex driven zeal that us philly fans put into hating the 'girls all we did is beat up on an inferior team. Nothing matters until playoff time and the iggles need to find a way over that hump, this might be the year...

well back to what really matters. Baseball rumors!

Actually, very little of your schedule has to do with the prior year anymore. Based on last year's records, Dallas had the 2nd hardest schedule in the league this year. Who have they beaten? Carolina, divsion leader, Eagles, division leader. That's not a bad start.

The NFC is so pointless this year though...the AFC will mop up the NFC in the superbowl.

I wanted schill as bad as any fan, but it might not have been the best baseball move. I'm bummed that we're not going to get Millwood back, I really think he's going to bounce back and be real good. And to add insult to injury, our trade for Milton will probably directly be responsible for Millwood going back to Atlanta grrrr.

Deeko you make a good point. There is a lot of volitility from year to year, so the schedule doesn't always end up as good are bad as it should. But it more or less does work out. I mean face it. The Cowboys have a MUCH easier schedule than the Eagles this year. That is not an accident.

i was just thinking it might be exciting to get schilling back. he said he wouldn't go to any team besides the phils, then goes to the sox after almost going to the freaking yankees. since we played them in 03 i don't think we play boston in 04 do we? pity. that could be some quality booing

I have a big TB fan in my building. We watched the Eagle TB games last year including the NFC champ game. Real painful. But he was real cool about it. Real sporting, no gloating or trash, which I would have done in his place. So I can't in good conscience rub it in now. Too bad.

Don't think the schedules for next year are out. I still don't understand how the whole interleague thing works. I think that their are always some games against your other league division. So their will always be some NLE vs ALE games. We played the yankees a couple years in a row before so we could still play the Sox. I hope so, they have always been the AL team I root for.

How can you Boo Schilling??? He's a stud. loves and respects the game. Always good for a quote, dumb or otherwise. And Roots for the Phills no matter where he plays.

Bottom line is the phills didn't think a 38 year old pitcher was worth the prospects it would take to get him. We coulda beat that offer without any of the studs. I think the Dbacks were willing to take less to move Schill to the AL and that the Sox took the defferred money whcih the phills refused.

Bit thats all in the past, time to move on. I'm likin' this team next year. We're still not the Yankees, but I like our chances in the NL.

Grow up. And of course I would never mention being a Dallas fan on the subway...I'm not stupid. Frankly....I'd gladly talk sh!t in the Eagles to most ATOT'ers, to their faces. "ala.. tampa" - they were picked to be going to the super bowl again this year because they DIDN'T lose anyone from their championship squad. stop pulling stuff out of your ass.
