Yes it was, thank you

4.5 was not enough relief.

I really expect one closer to 7 by end of this year.

Exactly how many classes in advanced stratigraphy, structure and tectonics have you taken that qualifies you to predict earthquakes?

Your opinion has the strong smell of having been pulled directly out of your ass totally unencumbered by the thought process.

Apparently one that does very well.

My ass predicts a lot of things besides the next smelly movement as you can see quite well.

How about predicting yourself telling us how you got your ass handed to you for your little speeding incident.

What "little speeding incident".

Explain

My guess is it is a reference to this rambling disjointed exercise in trying to get to a point.

Weird (then again, not weird; expected), Dave didn't respond to my post above about how this tiny trembler in no way should give his prediction any credibility whatsoever.

I recall from structural geology that along strike slip faults small quakes are actually a good thing because strain is being released along that part of the fault rather than continuing to build. But then again Dave is just pulling this make believe geologic expertise out of that odiferous place I mentioned in a previous post so I don't expect him to give a coherent reply with some actual scientific evidence.

1989 (Oakland) and 1994 (Northridge) were the last fairly big releases.

I addressed your dicertation of small quakes.

I countered that there has not been enough "strain" relief.

That's OK, nothing we can do about the real version of the movie Earthquake from hitting anyway other than watch.

You didn't address that. You merely attempted to give yourself "wiggle room." As in, when this 7.0+ quake doesn't happen, you can say, "well, there were enough little earthquakes to relieve the strain."

There are 10's of thousands of earthquakes each year. All of them reduce strain. 7.0's still happen. You predicted a 7.0 in the near future. This minor trembler is absolutely irrelevant to your prediction, as are the 10's of other earthquakes that weren't mentioned today.
