EAX benefits for 2 speakers?

Hi all,

Does Creative EAX offer any benefit for a 2 speaker set up? Is it purely a surround sound feature, or would it in anyway produce better sound on a system with 2 speakers vs no EAX?

If I remember correctly, I believe EAX does stuff like reverb and occlusion, stuff like that...so you might get somewhat better sound effects in games even with a 2 speaker setup.
