The server is back up and running. You'll have to download the new client here. I already installed it and it works fine. The race is afoot once again!

OK-

If you have a Statsaholic client, you might be able to if you change your ini file to point to the new server. Replace the following host lines with-

DP_SERVER_HOST=129.74.204.14
DP_SERVER_URL=http://129.74.204.14/cgi-bin/getres.cgi

ALSO-

Some people with this new client are still having issues, apparently with DNS. Changing the host and URL to the above values works for them as well.

All I did was remove the old eccp.exe file and reinstalled using the new client. It started up and flushed no problem. The new client detects the DP's you have and sends them.

Well...installing the new client over the old didn't work........the ini stayed the same......so changed it the way Viz suggested and it sent fine........suppose you could just change the ini on the old client and that would work too

Is that the big change..........where the DP's are sent to?

On the one machine that I tested the GUI client on, it was 5% slower than the statsaholic client. So I'm just changing eccp109.ini to point to the new server with the old client.

I had problems resolving the server address and am using the IP posted by viztech above, but for informational purposes the name of the new server is
DP_SERVER_HOST=erdos3.math.nd.edu
DP_SERVER_URL=http://erdos3.math.nd.edu/cgi-bin/getres.cgi

Not working for me.
I updated the client and it still shows the old version (127). I've tried every combo I can think of and still no go.

I ASSUME the .ini file that needs to be edited is the eccp109.ini in c:\eccp109. No one has mentioned specifically. Have I assumed wrong ? Anyone else unable to dump ? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got over 1000 DP's ready to dump.

Doomer; that is the correct ini of which you speak
stop the client
copy and paste Viz's Dpserver and host info into the ini.........no# in front of it
restart and send



NOTE The client has to be updated first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The old statsaholic client still works fine for me, with VizTech's INI file settings.

No need to get the new client at all, just update your ini file... Everybody is using the faster Statsaholic client, right?

I never was one to have big DP dumps, but here goes!

Chris forgot to update the title in the new GUI client, so it still says 1.27 when it should say 1.30.

Yes, the Statsaholic client should work with the re-direct that I posted above!

Virus has the Statsaholic proxy server back on-line, and seems to be accepting work and forwarding it to the new server just fine.

I have heard of a bug with the Linux clients, and the Win Cli clients. The Win Cli clients may take repeated flush commands to actually send the points. I am unsure what the issue is with the Linux clients, however.

The good news is that things are slowly coming back to normal.

Just successfully sent about 3k from my Linux clients
