Empire Total War won't install

My hard drive died. I replaced it and reloaded windows. Now I can not install Empire: Total War. I receive a security alert telling me "The installed INF file does not contain digital signature information." It asks me if i want to install this driver software yes or no. If i choose yes it pops right back up. If I choose no it ends the install. I cant get past this.

Are you installing from DVD or from Steam?

Thanks for the reply. I tried both. Turns out it was DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer released last month. Hit yes enough times and it finally installed all the DirectX update. Then the game finally installed.

Haven't had this particular problem, but Empire: total war installation was a massive pain for me as well. I'm ambivalent towards steam but CA really screwed up its implementation.

ETW was really disappointing. It still doesn't work right for me. Wish I'd held off on purchasing it for a few months.
