I am about to buy a new motherboard since the usb ports on my Gigabyte GA-7DX board both burned out and took my mouse and gamepad with it My question is this: can the 8KHA+ use PC1600 DDR RAM?
It should accept PC1600 ram, however, if you are using an Athlon CPU along with the board, performance will be hindered. PC1600 was designed for the Athlons @ 100MHz fsb (200MHz DDR) and the Durons which still have a 100MHz fsb (200MHz DDR). Depending on the quantity of PC1600 ram you have, it would most likely be wiser to go ahead and invest in PC2100 ram. 256MB of good quality PC2100 can be easily found for $30-40.
