EPOX 8KTA3 - Boot Error WTF?

Hi,
Okay here it goes, I am running a gig thunderbird but, had to go duron i got a 700@933, I took the tbird out and put the duron in. Started up the computer and then i get this error

Block Boot Bios V1.0

Please insert a system disk and hit any key

Something like that dont have the exact wording. I have everything in bios set to Default and tried 100/133. Anyone have this? How do i fix it?

have you tried resetting the BIOS? there's a jumper to do this..check in the manual

I would set everything to default to start out with, then work your way into the overclocking after the system is stable. What is the onboard 100/133MHz jumper set to?

I tried resetting the bios and i have tried 100 and 133, I get the same screen

You should be setting the Multiplier to 6x and the FSB to 100. Make sure those settings are correct. Then set the voltage manually to 1.75 just to make sure it'll boot. Talk to me more on AIM. Peace

Make sure all of your other cards are removed, and have just the video card installed.
Make sure the JP5 jumper is set to 100MHz operation. Set ram speed to default in bios.
Set CPU Host /pci/spread spec. to default, CPU ratio to default.
Carefully go thru the bios page by page and double check everything just in case.
I think that I have seen that same error once or twice and it was because I was trying to boot up with not enough voltage just after changing multiplers/bus speeds (overclocking attempts)

If resting the BIOS with the jumper is not working ... why don't you pull out the battery for a few seconds !
I had to rest my BIOS yesterday (moved jumper from 1-2 to 1-3) for a new CPU and it worked fine ..
