epson usb drivers

where can i get epson usb printer drivers. the ones on their website only seem to work for parallel port. then i vaguely remembered that hearing a long time ago that they charged for the usb ones, but that seems really gay now that usb is standard.

if your device has both usb & parallel port connectivity then the available drivers will cater for both!

i read that also(maximumpc said that you could get them anywhere but the us website ,this month's issue in the doghouse remarks i believe.) check out their uk sites or europe is also supposed to have them.

What printer model and motherboard do you`ve,also what OS are you using?

Try the Epson drivers from the UK site here ,you did enable USB in bios? Also if you`ve a VIA chipset board you could try the USB 1.10 filter driver from here .

did you install the drivers before you connected your printer??

Epson's USB Compatibility and Setup page might answer some of your questions.

The add new hardware window should pop up when the printer is connected and turned on. If it doesn't you may have to enable USB in BIOS. Text

That's really weird. I have an epson stylus C80 hooked up via usb. I just plugged it in and winxp automatically recognized and installed it. Then I ran windows update and it had a driver update for it. So if they are not free on epson's site, run windows update when you get it running.
