Good idea no but I'll shed some light as I live in long beach where that pic was taken. Long beach has protest and marches all the time. They are notoriously peaceful so this parent may have been used to that atmosphere. Was it stupid, yes but maybe they were not anticipating violence.If you think its smart to bring a small child to a protest you are probably gonna have an injured child. Its fairly obvious these things can go bad quickly.
It happend during the great depression, it happened all thru the 60's and 70's. Its happening a lot in the 21st century. What causes your brain to believe protests are are safe places for kids?
