LOL, the street between the White House and Lafayette Square has been renamed “Black Lives Matter Plaza” by DC’s Mayor.

And it’s getting a big, bold yellow street sign painted along its entire length:

Mayor Bowser is awesome.

Check out Dave Chapelle giving her major shout-out during one of his his all-night local routines when he was in town last year for his Mark Twain prize. She was in the small crowd for one of those pre-game shows.

serious question: Does the mayor of DC have the authority to rename Pennsylvania Avenue?

I did raise similar question about why the local government was so slow to fix certain streets (street lights/poles) with a friend that works for DOT. He said in some main streets in the city, they are the responsibility of the state, therefore, the local government could not do anything with those streets.

No sure about DC because the entity is different (federal).

Congress, I believe, actually has control over a lot of DC's budgeting and infrastructure. Not all of it, but I do believe they have the power to veto, for instance, local elections, from actual DC residents, and even appropriate funds where they wish.

IT's kind of nuts, but it is constitutionally controlled.

Imagine a couple of Congresspeople from Illinois and Alabama determining laws and funding for residents of a specific district in Idaho.

You can also bet the mayor of DC would not have done this had she not been totally 100% able! But with that said -- you never know.....heheheee

Lady posted this on twitter -

This week I’ve watched cops:
-beat elderly people
-grope women
-gas children
-seize face masks
-shoot elected officials
-tase students
-beat reporters
-drive into crowds
-target press
-arrest legal observers
-storm homes
-kill kids

And people are defending them for it.

Candace Amber Owens Farmer (born April 29, 1989) is an American conservative commentator and political activist. She is known for her pro-Trump activism and her criticism of Black Lives Matter and of the Democratic Party. need i say more? We know where your loyalties lie.....
Didn't she changed her politicl views 180 degrees when she found an audience. She is attractive and smart but also seems to be a phony. Then again most potential pundits are.
