If I said the exact same thing you just said in the context of abortion clinic bombings, you would accept that as reasonable? Why do we have to wait for abortion clinics to get bombed before we listen to them?

I will not bite on your attempt at derailing this thread with an argument about abortion.

All I will say is that when enough people in a country feel strongly enough that they are being repressed, they will eventually react with violence. This is the lesson history has taught us over and over and over again. We have examples of it going back thousands of years. This is not an endorsement of that, it is just an acknowledgment of it. If we want a peaceful society we must work at listening to everyone and finding compromises. When we fail we get what is happening now.

Right, semantics now. So if I simply point out that bombing abortion clinics is a natural side effect of the injustice visited on the unborn, you'd certainly not see that as an endorsement of political violence, correct?

Because it wasn't relevant.

Same as what I said at first. If I said that abortion clinic bombings are inevitable as long as abortion remains, you wouldn't see that as endorsing violence, of course.

Abortion is a Constitutional right as determined by the Supreme Court, murder by cop is not.

Seems Minneapolis Police performed this restraint on a regular basis, and the numbers aren't looking good.

CNN: Two-thirds of people put in neck restraints by Minneapolis police were black, department data shows.

It was only matter of time.
Who would have guessed......

I've completely avoided any argument on abortion itself, except to use clinic bombings as an example of political violence you might not accept as readily.

I want an answer to what I asked earlier. You could've prevented abortion clinic bombings, and chose not to by remaining pro-choice. So you're partly responsible for the bombing. Do you agree with that?

WTF, I’m not going to derail either but WTF are you talking about?
Do you apply the same logic to terrorists as in “You could have prevented 9/11 by being more like the terrorists. Do you agree with that?”

How about Pedophiles, hey kid you could have avoided that pedo bear if you just didn’t get into the car. Do you agree with that?

You could have not gotten beaten by bringing him another beer and a sandwich. Do you agree with that?
Come on man.

I hate to do this to you but that is not enough info to judge that situation.
Complicating matters is that just about everyone is going to be shouting "I can't breathe" the second and officer subdues them.

Listen and believe dumbass...

Don't ask questions.

Don't ask questions of "What escalated this?"

What historical events were a part of this present recording?

Don't say "I can't see shit in this video"

Just say you believe.

"I've completely avoided any arugment on abortion itself...except to bring up abortion bombings as an example" ....and totallly out of context.

And yet, you wonder why your ....arguments are treated with such ill repute. The dishonesty is palpable.

"being pro-choice is to blame for abortion bombings" is quite possibly the most asninine, intellectually vacant proposition that I have ever encountered.

I'm so pleased to hear you say this, because it means you got the point.

If you didn't read the earlier posts, Smogzinn said this:

Why didn't we do something before it came to this? Why must we always wait until people start breaking shit before we are willing to listen to them?

And that is the thing. We do wait. Even knowing that this will happen, it is just easier to ignore it until it does.
Now you pretend to not know it was inevitable so you can pretend that you had no part in it.
But the real truth is that you are partly responsible for every store looted and ever car burned. You could have prevented it, and choose not to.

That's the language of an attacker trying to blame the target, as you pointed out.

So while Plessy v Ferguson was the law of the land, there was no moral basis for protesting segregation?

1896 is not 1973.

feel free to peacefully protest abortion all you like as you are free to do so, but that isn't what you are arguing for, bombing is.

Anyone post this yet?

From Reuters -

(Reuters) - An independent autopsy that found George Floyd died solely from asphyxiation could actually bolster the defense of the former Minneapolis police officer charged with killing him, legal experts said.

....."It will be part of the defense strategy to say they can't even get the cause of death right," said Gerald Lefcourt, a criminal defense attorney.
