Yeah, I'm sure the black guy who had his store looted was wholly unsympathetic to blacks and police brutality. That'll teach him.

I'm perfectly in favor of reform. No one's in favor of the status quo. What I oppose is destroying people's property and lives.
I guess you haven't seen any interviews with business people who had their places looted and still sympathized with the protesters.

The lawyers I heard said they would try to prove intent by the 8+ minutes. That's a long, long time and the last what, 3+ minutes, he was unresponsive. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know how strong that argument is.
And that is about as far, logically as they could go, the family wanted murder #1 but that would involve he had a clear premeditation to kill Floyd from when he was 1st arrested/detained, that would have failed most lawyers have noted.

To be fair though, any family would what murder one.....but there needs to a a conviction and not an acquittal......I think the trial is in excellent hands!

That is not really true. It is entirely possible to meet the requirements of murder 1 by showing that he knew that Floyd was in danger and he continued to apply pressure to his neck. It could easily be argued that when he continued to apply pressure after he was already unresponsive he showed premeditation to make sure that Floyd was dead. That is murder 1.

yeah, no one believes you. Why? Because you keep voting on one issue that will never change, all the while specifically voting in people and their policies that will fight to the blood to ensure the status quo is maintained--it's their fucking platform.

You simply don't care, because the first, easiest, most powerful thing you can do about it--you fundamentally refuse to do.

boo-fucking-hoo.

Oh, and someone wants to protest, in any way they can about it? well fuck you, don't make my life temporarily inconvenient because this country shits on generations of your family.

people are sick and tired of your being disengenuous! People are tired of your stand on Abortion because you are supporting those who would oppress black people without realizing it! maybe you do realize it and you are voting for what you wish for....which is the continued abuse of Black people....in a sense your a racist by association!

Well they arent wrong entirely. Buildings do matter too, just not as much as people. But its definitely not a smart headline right now, things being what they are.
What I dont think anyone is considering is that massive property damage is gonna ruin tons of lives and cause more problems. If a whole neighborhood gets wrecked and was covered by a single insurance agency I dont know that everyone will get a payout, they may go bankrupt before each business owner or homeowner will be set up again, and who's gonna take care of them then?
The government?
Fuck no! Donald is practically encouraging this shit as an excuse to exercise executive power.

Seriously. All Lives Matters misses the point so you're going to stoke the flames dropping a Buildings Matter Too? Brilliant.

gaurantee it's cheaper for any insurance company compared to what they have (had) to deal with when a single hurricane runs hell though a few states over a couple of days--it's why most of them refuse to insure in such areas, and why flood insurance anywhere is now a federal thing.

Mike Mullins as well

damn

also this add by republicans against trump

that's awesome. Remember Steve Bannon's inaugural address that Trump mumbled out, about ending this "Terrible American Carnage"? Brilliant jab, and actually accurate this time, because only Trump could be responsible for actual American Carnage.
