Oh, just FYI on some intel, Solar Fleet (a null sec alliance) has started to boot people out of C5 wormholes and setup separate carebare wormhole corps into them to farm isk. As a true wormhole player, this situation can not be forgiven. We are officially at war to kick out all their alt corps. Several other wormhole corps and alliances have also started to join in on this. Fun will be had and tears created....

Been off eve for a couple months now. Have two characters still in training. Not playing is sort of like sitting on a heroin stash. Man do I miss my Tengu.

I have to say, I am liking the Absolution more and more. Took out a POS the other night and out of all the sub-cap ships, I did almost 65% more damage than anyone else, including a Tempest Fleet Issue, and an Abaddon.

Oh, and tears were created... I will post the battle report later. We did at one point offer to accept 5b from Solar Fleet to let them leave peacefully, but they told us in so many words to go F ourselves... The dread, bhaalgorn, 4 tengu's, curse, and 3 logi's that they lost cost a heck of a lot more than the 5b. Not to mention the faction guns, and faction warp disruptors from the POS that we repped back up and took, as well as the 3-4b in loot drops from the POS (and not counting the domi's and hurricanes they self-destructed)... I mean, it would have been much easier and cheaper for them to simply pay and leave....

I wish I could play a bit more. My efficiency is suffering because I keep going out on 1 man 15 minute roams, and then die horribly. Those 20+ mil isk cruisers add up really fast.

And of course, the 10 minutes I wasn't WH carebearing, my corp comes across a ADK tengu just sitting at a belt in the 00 direct. Good stuff.

Yeah, lasers are king in POS bashes, just because of their range and lack of ammo. The Abso has a great tank to go with its DPS too.

Yeah, I usually use an oracal or abaddon. But having bought the absolution a few weeks ago, and given the fact that I was comming into a "hot" situation where we didn't know what type of entrance we might get (i.e. a BS might not fit, and an oracle might insta-pop), it was the logical ship to bring. My skills are not perfect with it, with only having command ships 4, but my gun skills are pretty decent

I love the Abso, but it certainly shouldn't be out dpsing an Abaddon.

So the ban hammer was released on many minions of cheaterdom. Too bad they only focused on the people doing a autopilot to zero hack and not all the market bot hacks out there (but that I guess would devastate too many "important" corporations/alliances).

So for all you ex (and current) Eve Online addicts out there...I recently found a game on android called The Infinite Black. It is essentially a trimmed and slimmed down version of Eve and just as addictive. It has corps, alliances, pvp, pve, space stations owned by corps, a market, ship customization etc and the battle is sim based like Eve. It doesn't have skill based training or missions, but you do level up with exp from battles against npcs and other players and it has invasion zones which are like missions with bosses. Like I said it is trimmed down, but the overall essense of Eve is there. I'm definitely hooked for now. It's F2P, but it is also Pay2Win I guess if you really wanted to although I've not really seen it yet as the "things" you need later in the game are dropped too.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there if anyone is looking for a mobile solution. I wouldn't recommend playing it on a phone, but it works great on a mid tier tablet.

Oh I forgot to post this last week. We ran into another wormhole that Solar Fleet had started to siege a C5 (these guys just don't give-up, well, at least the ones who didn't have all their assets stuck/camped in Konora).

Given what happened the last time we fought, all of Solar Fleet (and Solar Wing, their "wormhole" branch) POS'ed up and logged out when they saw us drop a tower while they were POS bashing some of the locals (and not paying attention to d-scan or have a scanner with probes out, in other words, doing the stupid things that nullbears do when they think they are badasses and think they know what they are doing, when in wormhole space they really have no clue).

Given that they lost something like 14-20billion the last time we fought, they didn't want to have anything to do with us and figured we would leave after a few days. Well, they were sort of correct. We took out their POS (as they expected), but since their POS also dropped a tower in loot, we decided to leave them parting gifts by leaving it there for them, along with several warp scams, neuts, webs, guns, and bubbles, but decided not to put the shields up, I mean, seriously, why not just give them all guns they had used, it only seemed fair. And without the shields up for them to bounce off from, well, lets just say it would be funny. Two days later, we got a notice that the POS we left them was under attack by their revelation pilot (who logged out at their POS, which just happened to be the same place we left our present to them). About 45 minutes later we had a killmail for their Revelation:

We also received a nice cool 2 billion from the residents of the C5, as they were all too glad to have some help on the defense (we were going to kill the Solar guys anyway, but it is always better to get someone to pay you for doing what you want to do).

Oh, and to let you know how stupid they really are, the previous time we fought them (when they lost the 14-20billion), their POS didn't even shoot at us.

What fucking idiot logs on to a cap ship (or any ship worth a bill plus) in a POS that isn't for in territory you own and isn't also in your safer areas. Whenever I logged my dread/carrier out at a POS, I ALWAYS logged on vent/TS to make sure it was safe if it wasn't a place deep in our territory, worse case log on an alt and check.

I always loved killing idiots that don't follow basic safety in Eve.

Its exactly as I stated, Nullbears who have no clue. But to give him credit, he was sacrificing himself to save everyone else who also logged out at the POS (which was all of them). He managed to take out all the bubbles so that when the other ones logged in, as long as they aligned faster than an orca, they would be able to warp off before the POS locked on them and killed them. I think he saved 14-16 other pilots....

That makes sense then. Cheaper in the long run and the alliance reimbursed him (I'd think so at least, Solar was pretty good to their pilots and they are wealthy).

Heh.. I looked at the EVE political map for the first time in a long time, and it looks totally different from the last time I looked at it.

Guess who we ran into again today? Yep, Solar Fleet again in another C5. Funny thing is that it is the same group that we booted from that last hole. Well, time to make some more isk killing nullbears....

Considering we have lost only a handful of ships while completely devastating these guys, we will continue doing so until they get the point.

So, the next expansion is almost here. I've started a brand spanking new character and haven't decided what to go into yet.

What I have always been wondering is how other players have their in-game UI setup? Like the windows and chat and overview and whatnot. Anyone care to show off some screens of their setup?

I think the UI setup is as much a weapon as the person's skill, which is why you don't see people sharing that information. I will leak some of mine, overview (transparent) is on the right side and spans the entire vertical height of my game window. I have a d-scan window (transparent) which overlaps the bottom half of the overview (as well as sticks out some more as it needs more horizontal space). Directly above the d-scan on the top left side, I have my fleet window (this does not overlap the overview window). The target info window is at the top of the screen right next to the overview with the targeted ship icons to it's left (spanning the top of the game window). The left side under the navigation/autopilot info has my drone window. Under that are my chat windows and under the chat window I have the window for "watched" members of the fleet (for logistics and knowing when we are getting out butts kicked). My ship's cap/shields/armor+weapons/equipment is to the right of the "watched" window and still under the chat window. This leaves the center of the screen pretty much free and the top half of the overview always immediately viewable, with the bottom half being only partly obscured by d-scan information (which is just as important if you ask me).

I found I couldn't play Eve without using my dual monitors. I tried on one monitor and was like nope! Need too much info and stuff ready at a moments glance, especially since I spent 99% of my time in null.
