Pfft... eve-survival.org >>> eve-wiki. It has damage types delt / most effective damage type to use for every mission in the eve universe more or less. Also it has walk throughs about exact spawn amounts for most every mission.

real cruisers or industrial ships? eve-survival.org has a listing of all missions. What was the mission name?

Real crusiers. Ospreys in fact. I forget the mission name, but I assume these missions were parts of this inter-faction war crap that's going on. What sucks more is that these ships have no bounty on them either, making them far less profitable. And further, these are mission chains (usually 5 missions), which all give pretty much crap for rewards.

It wasn't a recon mission. It was a kill all and then bring me this mission.

usually, when you have to kill ships from different factions you get no bounties from them. However, the ships have "tags" in their loot and the tags are worth a decent amount of isk (they're needed for Loyalty Point purchases).

Same thing for drone missions. No bounties, but the drone compounds give you a good amount of minerals.

What was the mission name? The level 2 Recon mission actually has HACs attacking you; they're tanked a lot better than normal cruisers.

If you can kill them, there's a ton of veldspar to be mined there, too.

So where exactly are T3 ships going to fit in New Eden? All powerful everyone wants them, highly specialized or simply something different and unpredictable?

Time sink / money sink PvE ships I think, with rich / very high SP chars using certain fits for PvP, at least for the start. The whole 'lose SP when you get popped' thing is kinda crap, and CCP's suggestion of ejecting before the ship pops is kinda bunk as well unless they've fixed the lag.

I don't plan on skilling up for them for a while, but I'll be out there wormholing away supplying those who will

I just don't really like the whole need for Cruiser V to get in one... One of my chars is spec'd in frigates, the other is a Gallente drone boat mission runner / gankathron pilot. Neither one has gotten me anywhere near Cruiser V, and a month spent skilling for it is a month wasted for me. Maybe in a month when I finish up T2 heavy drones on one toon and finish up all the secondaries I've got planned out on the other I'll look at getting in T3 cruisers, but for now I don't see myself spending a month training an otherwise fairly useless skill (useless to me at the moment, that is) - although, it would bring my that much closer to an Ishtar.

*noob moment* I haven't actually been on sisi as of yet, haven't been able to get on, so this is all second hand from my (much higher SP) corp mates who have been. But at this point I don't see much use going for the T3 cruisers with my 6mil and 7mil SP chars.

So to better answer your question, I think we'll see a lot of high SP chars in them flying them well, and a lot of low SP chars in them, flying them terribly.

Being that I stayed home with my kid being sick from school today, I took advantage of the $9.95 thing EVE has. Looks like my Caldari dude finished Battleship 5. He bored me though, and I started an Amaar indusrialist.

Nice! If you're down near the Rens / Tanoo area and want to tag along on some L4's for some mins, salvage, and LP, hit me up in-game at Kwanaioo

I dont think the t3 ships will be any good for months. Allegedly the materials needed will come from wormholes, which means they will be ungodly expensive in empire. And they will probably come pre-nerfed like most new shiptypes

I saw you pop on steam the other night, I was tempted to see if you were going to be up for some missions... but I decided that building my standing with the Tash-Murkon Family Bureau was more important.

2 days in and my new "rookie" pilot has a wallet of 6.5m ISK all self made (no donations, no sending from my old alt). Add in the about 2m I've spent on ships, fittings and skill books... not a bad haul for 2 days of noob-ness.

Truth. It's amazing how much isk you can make just playing the market. My buddy just started an alt for the sole purpose of buying items at value in Rens/Jita and reposting them at a markup that better matches the market value. It's crazy how much money he's made in a few weeks. I've been thinking about doing the same, but I really just don't feel like sitting and watching market trends/reading through tables.

Yeah i couldn't do the trade thing either, at least not in the same system just "aligning" prices like that. Doing OK on missions so far. Been spending ISK mostly on cruisers for pvp recently. Trying to fit some thorax...

Vrolok, what corp are you running for in Frarn again? I run for Rep Fleet in Gelf/Gulf area.

Sunner, you watching this thread? How you liking EVE so far?

SunnyD, what does Tash-Murkon standing gain you?

Standing with any faction nets you better agents, better refining/reprocessing margins, lower costs/"taxes" with that factions, etc.

Being that I created an industrial/mining character, being able to refine minerals at better than 75% efficiency (which in turn directly affects profits) is a BIG deal. Right now my base yield is 91.25%, with my standing it's another +1.xx% right now. The goal is to get 100% yield, that way you make 100% of the total profitable yield for minerals (depending on the market of course). Less waste = more $$$.

Heh right now the corp I'm in has a pair of alliance-wide wardecs by mercs. Privateer Alliance has been camping all the trade hubs, and I'm not risking my faction fit mission Domi on the off chance that one of their roving fleets pops into local while I'm scrammed in a mission. I'm probably going to drop corp in the next couple days since they're using the wardecs as a "you're not safe in highsec, get out to 0.0 now!" order.

It's midterms right now, so I haven't really been on in a few days, other than to pick up a PLEX, but I might be on tonight after class gets out around 21:00 central

No big. I'm actually taking a few days "off" while finishing up a few bigger skills (trying to get into a barge), recouperating from whatever disease I've contracted from the kids, and refinishing the couple holes I put in my office wall from running cable. I'll probably just sleep for the next couple days.

If you don't mind me asking, what alliance are you in? I've spent the past five days of our wardec slaughtering Privateer's. I solo'd a Wolf-Drake pair in a Rapier two days ago.

Only ship so far I've lost is a shuttle.

Been playing for a while now... just got my first Caldari Navy Raven, great missioning ship. I can permaboost and no problems fitting 7 caldari navy cruise launchers, 3 hardeners, and 2 ballistic control.

If you guys are looking for a good, friendly corp, and you have over roughly 6M SP then look us up. Rising Ashes Inc.

My toon's name is Kono Tanuki

Lots of experienced members... not too heavy on the PVP.

You know, I might take you up on that. I like the corp I'm in, but I like AFK missioning in the Domi, and large wardecs make that kinda difficult heh.

I'm running dual accounts ATM, one with just over 7mil, the other just over 6mil. Mission runner and salvager right now, but can fit decent PvP setups on both. What factions (other than Caldari) do you guys mission with?

Also, you guys planning on doing much wormholing?

Yeah lowsec PvP is kinda dumb like that. Roving through 0.0 is where it's at.
