I'm not playing either... And mostly for lack of time. EVE is a world where you have to invest a lot of time and effort into playing, and isn't friendly to the very casual gamer.

Lack of time is why I've mainly been playing solo recently. The sort of commitment that most serious corps want is too much. I've become pretty good at PvPing and operating in nul-sec with just my main & alt working together, but EVE isn't the same if you're not in a group.

PI is finally working out for me. I haven't had as much time to set it up as I'd wanted, but right now I'm producing about 10 million isk a day in P3 products. Judging by the market prices of P3 and P4 setting up P4 production is a waste of time.

After over 5 years on play, I no longer have any active characters. I could easily have bought plexes and played for "free" but I grew very tired of the number of screw-ups ccp had made over the past 2 years and my personal time is quite crunched now.

But 1. I don't have isk flow yet so I'm sittin on 200 mil isk with no income. I'm currently in the process of trying to get into a WH corp so that should be remedied soon. At what, 60-70 mil a piece for a drake, losing that sucks ass.

2. The sheer pointlessness of that loss was what pisses me off. It was completely avoidable if my friend had told me to stop warp as soon as he saw that there were tacklers on gate rather than tell me 40 seconds later as I'm halfway through warp after he told me it was safe to warp to the gate.

That was how I lost my Scimi in my last corp (I was just kicked out due to inactivity). Some times those things happen. I think it was also my biggest loss ever (isk wise), but I didn't really care other than I didn't have another ship nearby to join in on the fight. I just haven't wanted to play lately, but now that I am back out of that corp I might play more because I enjoy solo hunting.

Yep, Drakes are not too bad. Nikolae, get your rep up in a decent NPC corp and do L4 missions for them, you can easily pull about 50-70million isk per hour, including the points you turn in for items to sell. A passive drake would prolly work but be too slow--in mission completion time--so a well fitted standard raven would be ok--wouldn't recommend the CNR until you have all missions down cold--as I lost a 900m isk Paladin in the "Attack of the Drones" mission b/c I did not read the review due to sheer laziness. If you hang out in amarr space, let me know. I'll sell you a Raven I purchased and never used for half price and/or outfit it to your spec and then sell it to you via contract--if that would be of help.

I usually mission in a navy scorpion, a tengu and an abaddon/apoc/logi as needed---but i have not really logged into play for about 4mos or so, just collecting research points at the moment.

You could try incursions once you get the iskies flowing. I think right now its the easy button to fund pew pew.

PI is working out for me. Around 12 million isk per day right now with minimal effort, pretty good income stream for a casual EVE player. If you're doing serious PvP then that amount of money won't cut it, but if you just need to fund a few lost battlecruisers per month then it's great.

All planet can suport it, but there are about a dozen off limit systes . High sec planets probably aren't really worth it, and low sec is pretty decent.

PI isn't that expensive to set up and provides decent income.

Not really difficult. Read up on it a little bit, watched a YouTube tutorial and got to work. My first few setups were pretty bad but that's mainly because I didn't want to research too much and went straight into playing with PI in the game.

From what I understand high-sec PI isn't really worth it. I set up in low-sec, and that's probably a much more profitable way to go.

Is there some big war going on right now in Null Sec? I logged on last night (maybe the night before, I can't remember) just to take care of something real quick and almost immediately I got 4 different people private convoing me. Each of them was asking me to join their corp. I got mention of some war in Delve from one of them, but I think my previous corp just took Delve while I was there, and I remember sitting in space in Delve with no-one to shoot. So it was pretty darn boring.

I just figure it must be going pretty poorly for someone to watchlist me to get me to join them. The funnier part is that I am pretty sure that two of the alliances that contacted me were on opposite sides of the war.

I really dont' want to get back into something like that. I kind of like not having all the responsibility to run fleets, and find targets and devise tactics to kill opposing fleets. I realize that I was generally successful at those things, but they are very involved and I would rather relax when I play the game and just kill stuff. Besides, I have barely played since July. I think I have maybe 30 kills in the last 6 months, if that, and those were cheap with only a Faction fitted Cynabal and a Cloaky Loki being worth more than 100M.
