Ever been screwed by dell.com?

I ordered an lcd monitor about 2 1/2 months ago. A day later, recieved a 15% coupon so i ordered another one, hoping to return the first one. I emailed them immediately to stop processing the 1st one since i already ordered a second at a cheaper price. Guess they pretended not to recieved the message and send both of them. Upon receiving them, i returned one via the delivery guy and asked for a refund. It's been more than two months and everytime i emailed them, i got the same excuse that they're processing my refund and it's taking so long because it's a returned product. I didn't even open the package. My god, newegg and other online vendors only take approx 2 weeks. Anything i can do?

Only once, the rest of the time Dell.com did their job. I and many others ordered a G2 that was on sale and got my order cancelled. They said they didn't pull the camera off the site fast enough... but other waited for a week or two before being alerted and missed other digital camera buying opportunities. I'll let em go for that one and wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

Yep, I tried calling them and went through endless menus. They didn't seem to care about my order much but that's just about usual for large companies it seems. Not that it's right, but these days customer service seems to be in the crapper everywhere.

I had Dell give me the wrong spec sheet for an Optiplex once - so I went and bought a crapload of upgrades that weren't neccessary. The spec sheet referenced a P4 2.0, CDROM, no zip and 20gb HDD. The machine that was actually in the box was a P4 2.4GHz, 48x CDRW, Zip 250, 80gb HDD.

Nobody could remember what they ordered, and I was too lazy to unpack it to verify - I assumed the spec sheet was correct.

Yes, i strayed away from calling them cuz i know for sure that will take at least 30 minutes away from my life. Will like take more without results. Anyhow, i'm hoping for the best but i think i'll stick with newegg from now on.

you did what? returned it via the delivery guy? was it a dell branded monitor or other (i'm thinking other, because processing can't be stopped on things that aren't dell branded once an order has gone out to the distributor, which doesn't take all that long)?

I had a real bad exp with em once, it got sorted out, but it took about 5 hrs on the phone and a few months,.

I bought a Canon S400 from Dell, and when it showed up it was DOA. I called them, and they sent me another one Next Day Air, along with the pre-paid packaging to send the broken one back. Oh yeah, and they arranged the shipping company to stop by my house to pick up the broken one.

I've purchased from Dell many times... Sorry that I don't have a bad thing to say about them.

Cancelled an order for a monitor, but didn't inform me of cancellation. Won't buy from them again.

Protest the charge to your credit card company, if you were charged within the past 3 months.

Never been screwed by them. I've been annoyed with them for cancelling my order for an M9 a couple of times back in October of last year. Took three tries, but I got the card.
