Everglide mousepads and Intellimouse Optical

Just was checking out the new Tribes 2 mousepads from everglide, and I see that they say they won't work with some optical mice. Has anyone tried using one of the new MS Optical mice with them? How does it work? TIA

It is my understanding that a dark/black Everglide works fine with optical mice. The white pads don't do so well.

I have a white everglide that was useless (especially with Quake) with my IntelliEye mouse. So definitely don't get a white everglide. I ended up getting a black ratpad that works great.

Yeah, I am up for selling my white everglide pad. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
