EVGA 6800 $249!!!!! after Rebate

There is the link I have been searching around for a new card looks like I will have to lay out the $300 up front a little more than I had hoped to spend, but it will come back. One question is this a much better card than the evga 6600gt?? Thanks, Jay.

It's significantly better you can score about 1500-2000 on 3dmark03 more than the 6600gt. We'll that's according to my friends computer with similar setup.

hmmmmmmmmmm, ive been wanting a new video card for some time now. Very tempting price.

Yea the card is noticably faster than the 6600 GT, but the price is also higher. Purchase what you need/want that fits your wallet!

Is this card significantly better than the bfg 6800 OC? They have the bfg at outpost for 249 w/ no rebates. So im wondering whats the story here?

the ati x800 xl will be 50 bucks more and like 25% the performance in some cases...i wished i had gotten pcie, but damn amd (or should i say, damn ati!).

Essentially the same cards. Except, the eVGA has a core clock of 325 vs the BFG's 350 (oc=overclocked). Both have 128MB DDR at 700MHz. BFG also has a lfietime warranty if that helps any.

Picked up the Circuit City card a few hours ago.
Unlocked it with no problems.

The Outpost BFG has been on backorder status for over a month. You are not gonna see them get that card back in ... again. Get any 6800 you can when you can, because they aren't gonna be around for too much longer.

I got CC to PM to Microcenter so was able to get the 6800 for $233.99. Everything was fine and I signed my receipt... Then another cashier asks about whether or not there were rebates and sure enough the $50 rebate receipt printed out. He took it and wanted me to return the card so the PM could be adjusted, from $66 to $10, the two cashiers were arguing and I took the card and said good day...

Can I use the rebate form on the CC.com website? the one posted on this thread?

Or should I go to another CC and ask for a reprinted one...
