Exact mobile GPU speed?

Basically, here's the problem. A friend of mine, on my advice, picked up an ND900T barebones notebook with the Geforce 6800 mobile GPU. He did so under the advice that the laptop has to last a few years and the other model, Radeon X800, only supported Shader Model 2.0

We got the laptop in, built it, and started benchmarking. Okay, so this thing is using a Pentium, the 530 3ghz model since it won't support EMT. Anyways, I figured as far as processor goes, it should be relative in games to Athlon64 2800+'s I have, and graphically more powerful than the 3200 A64, 6600 GT system.

However, doing benchmarking, the laptop continously scored lower than the A64 3200. Check the GPU speeds... and according to FutureMarks tools the GPU is clocked at 250mhz, and the Memory is clocked at 600mhz DDR (300mhz)

This... sounds a little low. Made sure Nvidia's PowerMizer was turned to full performance with and without battery, tried again... still 250mhz. Decided to check Nvidia.com While I find reference to the 6800 supposedly having a 700mhz memory rate, 100mhz above what this system came with, there is no mention of GPU speed.

Hence this post. Is the Nv41m SUPPOSED to be running at 250mhz/600mhz? Or should we be sending this thing back going "woah, somethings wrong!"

It ultimately depends on which version you got as, apparently, there are two. Though I don't see 250MHz anywhere in that article, so you may want to contact them about it, considering what you probably paid for it.

If that's the GDDR1 version of the card (which it certainly sounds like it), these are it's speeds:

2D: 125 Core/600 Memory
3D: 250 Core/600 Memory

I have a D900T with this card, and this is what mine runs at (and yes, it is a NV41M).
