Not sure if this has been posed here before but it's really important and something we should all think about.

----

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By
giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The
test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you
will have to make a decision.

Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.
Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line.

==============================================>
THE SITUATION

You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around
you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of
biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major
newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster.

The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot
career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some
disappearing under the water.

Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
==============================================>
THE TEST

Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life,
trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the
man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's George W.
Bush!

At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to
take him under forever. You have two options--you can save the life of
George W. Bush, or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize-winning photo,
documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful politicians.

==============================================>
THE QUESTION

Here's the question, and please give an honest answer:

Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the
classic simplicity of black and white?

Actually I'd save him. If he died, though it seems impossible, we'd have an even worse president.

I'd save him, even though I voted against him twice.

Yeah it's a joke, but I didn't laugh at the better-written "Sheehan's other son died in NOLA" onion joke either. I don't hate either side enough to find them funny.

I'd save him. He'd be my new best friend.

I pull my .45 and put the guy out of his misery, then take a high contrast pic of him drowning in a pool of blood.

That is a great question.

I think I'd probably take the photo, thinking that sometimes "the moral is the practical". Considering the economic damage he's done to the country, it might well be immoral and even an act of injustice to save him.

On the otherhand, one poster did have a good point--save him and he could become your new best friend. You could get a $200,000/year job out of it. Heck, Michael Brown was able to get a great job by having the right connections.

It's a tough choice. I'd probably take the photo even though I voted for the bastard in 2000. (I didn't know he'd prove to be an economic traitor; I thought he loved the country.)

I wonder what Dick Cheney would do?

Dick Cheney has no interest in being president.

He may state that but under the rules of succession he will be the president if Bush dies.

Given that scenario I would save Bush.

flood of biblical proportions? houses and ppl are floating by? by getting into that, you are just making a victome of your self and not helping anyone. i like bush but suicide (when he is going under anyways) does no one any good.

EDIT: and it for all the ppl that hate bush... just think what Cheney would be like if Bush ever died (so you better hope bush lives)...

mikeyyy, shame on you.

First, as a photojournalist working for a major newspaper,
I'd have a digital still camera and a quality tripod. So I could frame multiple shots,
and have the camera automatically keep recording...

While I go in for an exclusive interview.

That was hilarious.

I would try to save him.

Plus, I think you would become more famous for saving him than for taking a picture of him drowning!
