Explorer has caused error...............

Hi

This problem occured today when i was trying to reply to an email through hotmail. As soon as i press the text box to start typing my reply, 2 error messages came up.......


"....Explorer has caused an error in MSHTMLED.DLL - Explorer will now close.....etc"

Followed by:

"....Explorer has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL - Explorer will now close.....etc"


Could someone please help me as to how i can get rid of this problem

btw: My operating system is Windows ME.

IE version = 5.50.4522.1800

I guess from reading it, your IE cause the Explorer to core.
It's nothing too serius
Although kernel core dump is bad, it happens a lot in Windows 9x/ME

does it happen CONSISTENTLY? or just that once?

It has consistent occured since i first logged on to hotmail and tried to reply.

Could somebody please suggest steps that i can step to correct the problems.

Been having the same problems with my gf's comp. ME is horrible. I did a clean format and reinstalled ME. Not having that problems anymore. Note: 5.50.4134.0600 is the only IE that is stable. Any up/downgrades will cause the problems to start all over again.
