extended kvms

I really like my setup with a dual video 2-port kvm switch, giving each of my computers 2 desktops, but I'd like to move my loud computers far away. I'm looking into a kvm extender. I got 50' coaxial svga cables to work fine, but 50' ps/2 cables won't work at that distance. Maybe I should just convert those to USB and use a usb extender. Any ideas?

The longer the cables, the more degradation in signal quality. I'm surprised your long vga cables worked that well. To extend USB, you'll best use powered USB hubs.
You would be better off by trying to make the loud computers a bit quieter.

Getting quieter fans for the loud computers sounds like a good idea to me too (if it's fans that are making the noise)

I already have quiet fans. This does not make a difference. It is stupid to spend money on quiet fans, hard drive, power supply, case when my computer will still make noise. I won't be able to hear it 100 feet away. Simple as that. Sure, I could maybe get my computers down to 20db or 18db or something, but that is still noise.

I understand cable signal loss. I'm asking what actual solutions people use. It sounds like everyone just futzes with fans instead of moving their computers away.

You could always use Remote desktop connection.

this way your pc can be as far as you like,or as far as your local network can take it.

Moving computers far enough away so they can't hear them at all is usually not practical for space reasons for most people. My computer is right next to me on my desk and it is 21db's and extremely tolerable.

Consider a soundproofed enclosure with proper venting. More stylish to boot.
