External Headphone Volume Control

I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy or how to built an external volume control for some headphones or speakers. When in a game or something, it would be some much easier to just reach over and adjust the volume on my headphones instead of having to mess with the game's or window's volume controls. I know it wouldn't be too hard to build one using radioshack parts, anyone have instructions on this? Or anyone know a place to buy one?

boy do i understand how you feel. like when i'm playing Counterstrike, if the volume's too loud, have to exit and adjust windows volume, back and forth, back and forth.

That's one of the features I enjoy the most about my sound card... (GTXP)

Some headphones have a volume control, so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find an extension cable with volume on it.
