External TV Tuners?

I have a laptop at school, and I'm looking to get an external TV tuner, except, I've never heard of them!

Do they exist? I assume so, just cause it seems like it would be possible, but here are my questions:

What models are better than others? Will USB 2.0 work fine or should I look for a firewire version?

usb 1 work fine as far as i've heard (i've got a PCI version personally, but hauppengage (sp) make 'em)

Hauppage makes an external TV tuner for 200. it comes with a remote as well. USB 2.0 will work fine. Check out this link.
Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2

Seems to be the best out there.

NOTE: Don't personally own one, but will when I get the money.
