EZCD 5 Platinum

Has anyone downloaded the update for EZCD 5 to work under XP?
Every time I try, it doesn't download anything.
I need the XP_UP_platinum file.
Anyone have it let me know please.

ezcd creator 5 isnt the best for burning, try nero 5.5

I happen to like the Direct cd part of EZCD. does nero have anything similar?

speedstar - yes incd... great stuff

Adaptec is as buggy as a South American jungle.... just say no to EZCD.

Like Viper said... Nero all the way... even though I am currently experiencing some probs with my burner... its just not Nero... nothing a clean install can fix.... now all i need to find is my Office cd (rambles on...)

EZCD works very well and has a lot of features that the other programs don't.

Yea I agree with you on that Nippy, based on the fact that it has alot of sound options for when you create a Audio CD. Personally they are both but for some reason one of the two (ezcd and nero) gives people hell and they always prefer the other. I use nero because it feels less "bloated". Like the whole menu crap for ezcd, heh.

EZCD freezes more on my computer... also it loads and shiat load of programs on startup.

I am unaware of compatiblity issues speedstar... but its not very... umm smart if you have two programs trying to help you copy stuff to your CDRW ... you can always try though

yah stick with nero or try to find out the hardway like me.the gui is very bloated and crashes alot at least for 2systems i've tried it on

according to nero, the two should not be installed together as you can run into problems!

Does EZCD 5 still have that neat feature where it trashes your Win2k install?

Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Lite version is integrated into WindowsXP. That's why, if you'll notice, you can drag-and-drop files to your cd directory, right click, and say write files to cd. Installing the Platinum version will replace the engine which was modified by M$ to work with XP. Roxio has noted on their web site that a patch will be out to fix problems with WindowsXP, but so far, I haven't seen it. If all you like about Easy CD Creator is DirectCD, it's already integrated into WindowsXP. Installing DirectCD again is not only incredibly stupid, it'll screw up your computer.
