Well, My girlfriend had her tonsills out last year and the doc who did the work on her said she was having problems breathing... so he suctioned out her lungs and all he got was nasty yellow-brownish muck thought the suction tube. She has been smoking for 20 years (she only 33) and it's going to kill her. She knows it and doesn't care.

All she says is she hopes when she gets cancer, she goes quick like on all the smoking commercials.

Nice to see she really cares about how you feel eh? You need to get through to her.

That makes me sick... I watched my grandmother die of lung cancer for 6 months. Since she could not speak because the cancer had spread so rapidly up into her neck, she wrote down what she was feeling. she said her insides felt like they were boiling. imagine that... i could never imagine dying by cancer... scariest thing in the world.

and there is nothing quick about cancer when you are the one suffering. 6 months of pure hell. she did not sleep for the 2 weeks before she died because the pain was so unbearable... her body was so weak she couldnt move her arms to write us messages anymore... she could not even open her eyes the a few days before her death.. i watched her deteriorate over the course of 6 months. what the fvck is it going to take to get these things through their heads.

Feel free to smoke where it doesn't affect other people. Indirectly a person that smokes around others in large groups are unintentionally helping killing them.

Sorry cowboy, I will breathe nontoxic air where ever I feel like breathing nontoxic air and you can feel free to leave the area.

What's the difference?

And I don't want you telling me where I can breathe nontoxic air.

We can go in circles on this all night, but it doesn't change the fact that your decisions affect others health, directly.

What if I had a big 350 diesel and I pulled it to the side of the street where you were smoking your cigarettes, and revved the fvck outta the engine. Would you be pissed?

i think it shouldn't be you HAVE to, it's just try and be a little respectful and considerate.....just because i CAN do something doens't mean i will because i care, even a little bit, about how it effects other people.......of course i don't smoke, can't stand the smell.....
yes, it is 100% your RIGHT to smoke wherever/whenever you please.....but geez, stop being selfish(not directed at you renob)

well, it seems the stereotype of smokers are people who don't give a fsvk about other people.......which in some, maybe most cases is true, but yes, there are people who are considerate about it.....which i will take your word that you are one of those people. Most smokers bug me, well, not THEM, but what they're doing.........

We should encourage them and make them feel more good about themselves, why argue with someone who chose to smoke in the first place. They know it bad and that's why they like it. See, bad=cool. Those that smokes very much enjoy it and the nicotine effect that it gives off is like sexs. How can anyone quit? 9 out 10 people today smokes, some are light smoker they just don't smoke in public. As I have found out so far, I been around many people.

I can't believe you don't realize the sheer idiocy of your "arguments". Every one can be turned right around against to greater effect. You damnwell have the right to smoke away as long as you aren't harming anyone else by it. But the moment you are doing so, you are infringing upon THEIR rights.

Exactly. If I'm outside, you can go away. If I'm inside, shame on me.

I walk outside and am surrounding by these damned people who could care less whom else they are making stink and breathe their nasty ass fumes.

The moment that you start bicycling to work or or buy an electric vehicle, maybe smokers will take you seriously on that one. I bet your car puts out far more pollutants every day that you breath in in a week.

hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must not know many smokers. The only girl I dated that smoked was also the best looking girl I dated and she was very, very far from looking like a bum with yellow teeth that stunk. Most of the people where I work that smoke don't get anywhere near the description you associate with smokers.

As someone trying to quit smoking, I can truthfully say that many of you are going a bit overboard. I have always been a considerate smoker. Smokers aren't always considerate but they are not different than any other person. I find it hard to believe how some of you believe smokers to be. That being said, cigarette smoke stinks and is nasty. I hope to never smoked again.

Who cares? He chose to stay around her when she was smoking, which is exactly what the other fscktards in this thread do. They bitch about how smokers threaten their lives.
Well, if your life means so much to you, go somewhere else.

It has been 10 years since I dated her. Last time I saw her she still looked very good. It was her personality that caused us to break up not her looks.

Screw smokers. People who smoke deserve all the sh!t they get, I wish they could trade places with people dying of unpreventable diseases :disgust:. I don't hang out with any smokers. Call me closed minded or any other hollow insult you can think of; eventually you're going to feel the same way I do.

No, eventually I won't feel the same way you do. I don't smoke anymore, but they have just as much of a right to smoke as you do to not smoke. They have just as much of a right to stand outside and smoke as you have standing outside and not smoking. If you don't like it, there's plenty more "outside" for you to exist in elsewhere.

Smokers think "Just leave if you don't like it."

Nonsmokers think "Be considerate and don't light up near nonsmokers."

Most smokers don't light up near nonsmokers. If they do, most of them light up down-wind. That's just common courtesy that most of them respect and honor. The ones that light up around you and blow smoke in your direction are the dickheads in the minority of the habbit.

I never smoked in my life..

But I'm seriously considering taking up the habit just to annoy little liberal wastes of skin as yourself.

Should be fun to get in a few fistfights with little suburbanite kiddie who thinks he knows how the world should run.

Why can't we just go back to the wild west pioneering era? I doubt anyone whined about something so trivial as cigarrette smoke back then. Yes, your 2 second walk through a group of smokers is trivial.

Starting to hate this country for what it's becoming. Ugh.
