GOOD FFIN GOD, YOU WHINY ANTI-SMOKER DUMBASSES ARE SO UNINFORMED.

You cannot possibly stink of smoke by walking for the whole 0.5 seconds of your life through a group of smokers outside your work or wherever, so stop complaining. I am not a smoker, but I certainly do not break into a conniption fit when I pass by smokers. Do you really think you are going to develop cancer by inhaling a waft of smoke as you walk into your work every morning? Do you bitch when you are standing outside and a car drives by you? The concentration of carcinogens present in vehicle emissions is comparable to that of cigarette smoke.

Smoking is not evil, GoodToGo. Cigarettes are no more evil than a goddamned BigMac. People bitch so much about the cigarette industry and how smoking is detrimental for one's health. The health problem paramount in this country today is the average American's diet. How about you rant about that? Perhaps you can scream about how lazy people that eat fast food and lay on their asses all day make you sick. At least that is a reasonable complaint.

Yes, it is a smelly, filthy, and disgusting habit, but generally for those that are around it all of the time. The smoke is not going to affect your overall health if you are exposed to it for less than a percent of your lifetime. People possess this funny little thing called free will. People are going to smoke, drink, get fat, etc if they want, and you are in no ffin position to condemn them. Are you so perfect and devoid of flaws that you can possibly dispense judgemets about people for the decisions they make about their own lives?

Spend your energy on something more productive. STOP BEING SO GODDAMNED SANCTIMONIOUS.

Umm lets clear a few points over here shall we?

1) I am not a compulsive eater who hogs on bigmacs or whatever cholesterol laden food that you can think of. I am fit and lean and run 2.5 miles everyday. So much for the lazy ass part.

2) I drive a Nissan Sentra which is one of the most fuel economic cars. Of course it still not as good as carpooling or public transportation but on the other hand, I dont work and Atlanta mass transit sucks big time. And walking is not a very practical solution in a spread out city like Atlanta. The car is only used sometimes (50-60 minutes times a week) to get around to do basic stuff like groceries or pick some food up.

Am I saying that I am perfect? Hell no! All I am saying that I try to cut back on my bad habits so that the world can be a better place to live in. Of course sometimes I eat bigmacs or drive more than 60 minutes a week, but at least I dont go around smoking like chimney and smelling like a f*cking skunk. I could have resorted to name calling as well, but I forgive you for your lack of coherent arguements. Also read love1u0's post. You could probably learn something from the guy.

Edit: Also dont confuse neccesity with free will. Driving a car is my neccesity, driving a 35mpg sentra or 1mpg SUV is free will. I chose sensibily, but have you?

it is ridiculous to claim that big macs and suvs (vices) fulfill basic needs when carrots and walking can serve the same purpose.

um no, it is not. i don't see how you can doubt that a big mac or suv fulfills the needs of food and transportation. unless you want to enlighten me. but please don't be an idiot and just talk about how much better carrots and walking are, because that would be irrelevant to whether or not big macs and suvs fulfill basic needs.

so. i am waiting, SHOW ME how they don't fulfill those needs.

I beg your pardon. My environment is being fouled by smokers and you say I in some way am causing them harm? Tell me more.

Leave them alone? If they would leave the air I breath alone we wouldn't have any problem.

Stop driving your car or mowing your lawn with a gas powered lawnmower and I'll start listening to you. Otherwise, SHUT THE FSCK UP.

i drive my car because i need it to get to various places, for what purpose do you smoke?

you're just trying to compare apples and oranges, it won't work. tell you what, i won't harass you for driving, you don't harass me for driving. i will harass you for smoking, you can harass me for smoking. that's fair, isn't it?

of course i won't really harass you, i don't really care, i'm just pointing stuff out.

you drive a sentra cause that's all you can afford. If you really cared about pollution and OTHER people, you would use electricity-based form of transportation, mass-transit or not.

All the studies about second-hand smoke put people in smoke-heavy environments for hours on end. There is ZERO damage to anyone's health after a 0.5 travel through a group of smokers near the building entrance.

In fact, the surgeon general has admitted there is NO EVIDENCE even the smoker's health is damaged as long as he consumes less than TWO PACKS PER DAY.

To summarize, QUIT THE INCESSANT WHINING. Keep jogging and die healthy if this is what you want. Leave the smokers be, they are paying for your healthcare through draconian taxation measures. You should be thankful.

so. i am waiting, SHOW ME how they don't fulfill those needs.
Even the densest of minds would not have a problem here. 99% of the world fulful their basic needs without the caloric overindulgence, or the gargantuan gas-wasters.

how that does that show that eating a big mac or driving an suv does not fulfill the basic needs of food and transportation? what you've done is shown me that they are not the most efficient ways of fulfilling those needs. you have NOT shown me that they do not fulfill those needs.

so, i am still waiting.

Puh-lease.

That's exactly what we have where I work! Ok, so it isn't fenced in, but there are only 2 places on the entire grounds that smoking is allowed. The areas are a minimum 100 feet from any building entrance and they're about 15x15. Smoking outside of these designated areas leads to disciplinary action.

WTF? I drive a Sentra because of its economy, reliability etc not because thats all that I can afford. I could have bought an older model of sunfire and other such cars but chose otherwise. Dont make dumb assumptions about my finances. If you want to smoke, FINE Stay the f*ck away from me. Also as for your healthcare, I dont need your damn money, remember you only said that I am going to die healthy. You can take that money, roll it up, put some tobbaco in it and smoke it up. After all thats all you smokers are good at.

And it still seems that you can understand the difference between free will and neccesity. About abadoning gas guzzlers and caloric overindulgences, it would be to return to the stone age. Giving in once in a while to your cravings is different than chronically smoking.

well, the fact that your body is all mangled and spread out across the road, would imply that your body isn't exactly healthy.

So, after all, you can be healthy and still die

smoking is nothing to be proud of... that's as ricockulous as saying something like "PROUD BIG MAC EATER"

btw he's not as guilty, he's one vice less guilty. you can't say that just because he endangers people, that means that you are all equal. it seems quite clear to me that while he endangers people, he endangers people less than he would if he smoked.

Where I work, they have lounges for smokers. I went into one last week. The whole room was covered with a yellow-brown film and even though it had a air filtration system it smelled like a bottle of nicotine. What a terrible place to spend even 3 minutes in.

It's a smoker's paradise. At peak times, you can go in and come out with your nicotine fix and not have even lit up one of your own. Saving money and leeching off of side-stream and second-hand smoke
