Those photos are sad. I didn't think that many civilians would be involved. The media made it seem as if they all left.

Shame on the "insurgents" for carrying out this conflict.

God bless the troops who have achieved remarkable goals.

The insurgents reacted to an invasion. If someone invaded the US claiming Bush stole the election and that we needed regime change would you fight the invaders or not?

So, when do you sign up to help quell the people protecting their homeland from an occupying force? Hmmm?

I am impressed by the remarkable goals of children with head wounds, legs blown off, dead.

The US knew there were civilians in Fallujah and they sacrificed them for the ridiculous goal of holding elections in January just because Bush said they would be held then.

To blame the victims is so very neocon of you.

What was that reason Bush gave for his unprovoked invasion of Iraq that has so far cost the lives of 100,000 innocent civilians???

Looks like they just collected the bodies and lined them up for easier bagging?

Depends if they can prove that he stole the electon and if they are actually going to let us elect our own leader or if I like their perferred leader.

Lets see. The US is using the US Marines, the US Army, heavy armor, heavy artillery support, stacked air support, helicopters and gunships in conjuction with it's now reestablished (Rumbo's experiments be damned) "overwhelming force" doctrine. That is a lot of power needed to "carry out the conflict" and achive the "remarkable goal".

Not to mention that the US miraculously does not kill civilians but only "insurgents". I wonder how many of the 1,000 plus killed in Falluja simply are civilians caught in the crossfire, or gunned downed when they tried to flee the carnage, or were hit by artillery shells or bombs.

Well what if they claimed to have proof but ended up being wrong? What if they had a history of opposing democracy in the third world and supporting friendly dictators and tyrants instead?

I for one would hope that I don't just get left out for the flies. They could at least cover them up a bit. Something with some dignity.

We are lucky that we get to see what the soldiers and the others see.

What is your reaction?

Do we quit because of this?

Do we pray for mercy?

War is as close to hell on earth as we will ever have.

100,000 civilians did not die. If you look at the actual report it says somewhere between 15,000 and 200,000 civilians died. What is that? They just took the average of it. What's more, the methods that brought them to that number were dubious at best. Go to iraqbodycount.net, which is hardly a conservative site, and it has a real picture with transparent data.

By the way, I'm liberal on almost all issues so please do not accuse me of bias. I'm simply tired of people repeating this misleading and inaccurate number.

Lined them up for photos for identification purposes? I'm sure they took care of the bodies properly. At least I hope they did.

It also depends on who you define "civilian"

War is hell. Watch apocalypse now, watch saving private ryan, watch real footage from Iraq or elsewhere. There is no debate: war is hell. Now should we be there? Separate issue.
