Fantasy NASCAR 2015

Daytona is Feb. 15, and I just got an email from FOX Fantasy Racing saying they revamped the whole game and their website: http://www.foxsports.com/fantasy/auto/

Are we going to have a team competition this year, and are we going to stick with the Fox site?

I'm not familiar with fantasy Nascar. Though, I am familiar with fantasy football. In fantasy football, you get points for yards, points for catches, points for touchdowns, etc.

In fantasy Nascar, do you get points each time your driver makes a left turn?

Please do! You'll probably the first person who does, since I just opened the pool today.

It looks like fantasy NASCAR this year basically uses the same scoring model that real NASCAR does. You get points for the finishing order of the race, leading a lap, and leading the most laps.

They also put in a salary cap next year to keep everyone from just putting in the top five drivers every race.

I'm in again. Good thing Fox redid that site because it was awful last year and took forever to update scores.

Looks like points for finishing position vs starting position is still in the rules. The new salary cap looks interesting. Should be fun.

New picks every week. You don't need all new drivers every week, but you'll quickly find that some drivers are better at certain tracks.

The rules seem to be the same, except:

There is no team captain now
The limit for starts of a single driver is gone now, but
They have a weird "salary cap" system in it's place. The salary seems to be based off of prior track performance.

Maybe I'm missing some things, though.
