People are so fanboy about the game that a movie would be almost inevitably doomed to failure. You'd need serious actors and serious directors to make it happen, but it appears that Uwe Boll and people who think like him are the only ones willing to turn video games to movies.

The world is better off without a Half-Life movie. It's not like Gordon ever talked anyway.

Yet another video game with a movie worthy story line and they hand the director's chair to that half-wit Uwe Boll!!
Get a clue people his movies suck! Hard!

I just hope when they go to film Max Payne they don't go brain dead and let him direct.

I have always tried to visualize a Half-Life movie - and failed. Gordon would HAVE to remain a silent protagonist or all the 'fans' would get pissed. I can't imagine a two hour movie where a silent protagonist fights his way out of an underground research facility. Half-Life 2 is a fun game to play through but seriously, try and picture it as a movie. It'd fail.

That game better stay untouched. Unless of course, they adapt the screenplay from Concerned
