Far Cry vs. COD

Of course they are compereable since they belong to the same genre.

If you draw a line there and compare only FPSs then you CAN make judgements between them, since in games of the same category its the little things that make the difference.

In these games you are occupied with things like AI, guns, big maps, sound, atmosphere and great action.
I think it's unfair to judge it with other terms.

Let me just premise this by saying that I was a COD fanatic before it ever came out. I loved the game both the single player portion and the multiplayer after I bought it. I talked/sold many a coworker/friend into buying COD based on my experiences and they loved it too, unfortunately they completely screwed it up with the 1.2 patch but I digress. Far Cry's single player experience is much more akin to the old doom2 experience where you don't know what to expect and it just seems to go on and on. Yes, some of it is linear and repetitive but so far it's at least an adventure and much more so than COD. So, I would say as far as a FPS game goes FC wins, as far as a MP game goes COD wins. Irregardless, they are both worthy games of getting this year.

I like both of them. COD has some of the most intense fighting scenes, while Far Cry has varieties.
