So,I was thinking today about my favorite bands. I got to thinking about the 90's and I realized that the 90's were a good time in music. I consider the 90's and early 2000's the end of really good music because it gave way to the terrible pop music of now. So who's your favorite band of the 90's?

I loved the 90s but its hard for me to pick a favorite band. I've seen the Smashing Pumpkins live more than any other band so if I had to choose one then maybe it would be SP. Or Tool? Hell I don't know. I love Lithium on XM/Sirius specifically because I love the variety of 90s rock.

So are we talking about bands that started in the 90's?

If so, then probably Opeth. I'd say The Melvins, but I started listening to them in the late 80, even though some of their best stuff (Bullhead and LYsol) did not come out until the 90's. Mr. Bungle would get honourable mention.

If the question was just about what bands were best in the 90's, regardless of when they got their start, then things would look quite a bit different.

The 90's were great. There was so much amazing talent,Shannon Hoon,Scott Weiland,Chris Cornell,Layne Stayley,Billy Corgon,Dave Grohl,Kurt Cobain,Chris Robinson,Anthony Kiedis,Zack de la Rocha,Ed Roland,John Rzeznik,Eddie Vedder,Jacob Dylan.

^All of those I listed were and still are talented (Excluding: Shannon Hoon,Kurt Cobain,and Layne Staley).They were all part of major 90's music,they were some of the most talented people ever to be known.
