Ah the Cranberries, how could I forget them? Zombie! Zombie! Zombie!
What ever happened to them?
What the fuck? Many of the bands listed in this thread formed in the 80's:
Alice in Chains
Or did you mean bands that were active throughout the 90's? Because that would change the scope of this thread entirely.
I liked the ones you listed a lot. I stopped listening to pearl jam when the vitolagy album came out,I'm just now starting to get back into them.
I could not stand Pearl Jam once that album came out because the radio played it NON-STOP for what seemed forever. They did that to a lot of songs and the reason why I avoid the normal radio at all costs til this day. I was even a fan of Soundgarden but I don't think I could sit through Black Hole Sun even now because of hearing it so much back then.
PJ has a lot of good stuff, but once Y2k rolled around.....
I agree and wow. Thats pretty impressive how'd you come to meet him?
So is this now about our favourite 90's songs? Because that also changes the scope of this thread.
Asked for an autograph and he declined, said sorry but they end up on ebay, thanked me for coming, thanked me for buying their albums (on vinyl no less) and took off.
Waited all day in the rain in front of the Newport in Columbus OH for a small show (around 1200) and was carrying a vinyl Adore album hoping for a signature.
After the show I went out back and waited by the tour bus along with about 6 other fans and finally he came out and looked at me, still wet and asked something along the lines of whats your story?
I told him I drove 4 hrs to get there, after getting my parents to drive 2hrs to babysit. Hes like wow, all that to see me? I laughed and told him I really enjoyed the show and really liked his music and said maybe I wouldnt have to go through so much if he would just stop by WV sometime. He told me that he didnt think he'd ever played there and asked what towns would even hold shows like his and I said Morgantown and Charleston, he asked what kind of bands played there. I rattled off a few I had seen recently (chevelle, disturbed,
the fray, nickleback...I know but it was for my wife) and he says well it seems
like mostly metal which isnt really our demographic and that he would check
into it and see if it looked like they could sell coming here.

There was some other friendly chit chat tossed in, but that was the meat of it.
I will say he is one tall mf'er
The singer probably annoyed herself to death with that voice of hers.
