Well my Jeep is sold. I bought a 2005 Maxima about 6 months ago and promised my wife I'd sell the Wrangler (2001). I got away with having the Jeep when we just had one child, but the arrival of our daughter made getting a second "family car" pretty necessary.

Anyway, I priced the Jeep through the roof and the darn thing still sold (though it took quite a while) . I've owned a Tacoma 4x4, Camry CE, Wrangler, and now my Max. The Max is a lot of fun to drive, but I'd definitely say the Wrangler was the most fun of the bunch.

I'm ignorant. Why is one family car not enough? The kids can't ride in both at the same time? (22 no kids)

Mainly due to odd circumstances, such as having to pick the kids up from daycare instead of my wife, etc. Basically, if anything were to happen to her car we'd be absolutely SOL. I guess I wouldn't really classify the Max as a 2nd family car (though it's pretty roomy in the back), but it could be used as one if needed. The Jeep on the other hand, is a death trap as it is... not a good place for the youngins.

Bah

I had oversized off-road tires on it... and on a nice fall day, you couldn't beat riding around with the top down. I loved it. It was actually the first car I stuck with for more than 3 years, and honestly, I probably would have driven it until the paint disintegrated if given the chance.

But the Max is a different kind of fun. It's a mix between sport and comfort. It has plush leather seats and 265HP. Certainly not the fastest thing on the road, but it's nice having some real kick when you need it.

I looked at the 2005 G35, but I didn't care for how stiff the steering was. How was it in the '04? Plus, I couldn't get as good of an interest rate (they were offering 4.9% at the time) which made it a bit more than I wanted to spend.

I dated a girl in HS whose father had an RX. I don't know what year it was but it was probably late 80's. That car was a LOT of fun to ride in.

My first car was a '79 Camaro that I bought in 1988 for college. I was heartbroken when it began having so many problems that I finally had to sell it.

My 1975 Plymouth Duster <---- very close second to the truck
My 1986 Plymouth Reliant <---- third favorite
My 1993 Dodge Dakota 4x4 <---- most favorite (still own it)

None of the other cars I've owned can even come close to those three.
I've own a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda, 1988 Plymouth Reliant, 1995 Saturn SW2, 2000 Saturn SW2, 2002 Saturn L100, 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible

I loved my Wrangler so much I decided to buy a cheaper car as a daily driver and keep the jeep! Now the jeep stays in the garage with the top off for the pretty days only .

the steering is fine i like it a little stiff more feedback from the road
i cant stand light steering wheels, the 05 interior is much nicer to
i was thinkin of trading back in for an 05, but didnt want to lose that much money
i bought mine in August 2004 and i got a 4% interest rate
you can always negotiate the interest rate

My old 1965 Triumph TR4. Sad story how I lost that one. Fun and beautiful car. And in those days the roads weren't so crowded.

I've only owned a couple cars, but I've loved both... I really have a place in my heart for my 88 LeBaron... such a comfortable car to drive, and very reliable too!

Haven't had many cars, and all the ones I've had have been tame. My favorite was my '03 Toyota Matrix though. I thought it was a fun, peppy little car, for an econobox anyway. Gas mileage was nice too at 30/39. I wish I hadn't chickened out and gotten the automatic though. The manual would've been a lot more fun I think.

I loved all my cars... I can't say enough for my '99 Neon though... that thing was a blast - and even more fun than my SRT-4...

I miss that thing!

1975 Suburban. When it ran it was heaven on wheels. So it was pure bliss ~60% of the time.
