Jalapeno and pineapple are good additions.

The spicy and sweet is a good combo, the saltiness from the bacon tops it off.

I'm willing to try anything once, the sky's the limit with various topping combinations.

The only seafood worthy of pizza is shrimp. Anything else is a crime against humanity.

Otherwise, I like practically everything the typical pizza place offers. When making my own I usually just use a much smaller selection Italian/Chorizo sausage, onion/bell pepper/banana hot pepper/kalamata olives/mozza or cheddar cheese. Usually only 3 or 4 from that list.

Are we talking diced canadian bacon or the round, thin slices?

I don't know that I've ever seen it diced in any pizza joint I've gone to. I don't recall the thin slices always being round either. Thin slices seems preferable either way though.

One place from home makes an awesome BBQ chicken pizza using a homemade sauce and gouda cheese. Just had a few slices...delicious.

I'm ultimately not picky about pizza toppings...I'd eat just about anything listed so far. I don't even like raw pineapple but I'm okay with the occasional Hawaiian pizza. The only thing I don't care for is undercooked olives.

no olives, no pineapple, no anchovies or any other variety of seafood.

Anything else within reason is fine.

GTFO... GTFO NAO!

There's nothing wrong with pineapple as a pizza topping. Dr Pizza has spoken.

No favorites, but one of the best pizzas I've ever had was a white pizza with a sort of shrimp & scallop scampi on top, buttery and garlicy, with sun dried tomatoes, and just enough slices of cheese to hold it all together. For a lighter choice, I like a little extra sauce with basil, and diced onions and green peppers - no cheese. Quite delicious. Peanut M&M's are probably the most bizarre topping I've tried that was actually edible. Swedish fish pizza sucks. Working in a pizza shop that specializes in pizza by the slice (or party trays) - and sells thousands of slices a day, afforded me plenty of opportunities to make a slice or two of hundreds of different combinations whenever there was a whim to try something new.

Oh, another awesome pizza: taco sauce, lots of taco meat, and cheddar cheese, cooked until the crust is somewhat crispy, with some chopped up bacon added in. Then topped with shredded lettuce, black olives, chunked up pieces of tomato, jalapenos, some spicier taco sauce, and crushed up doritos or tortilla chips, with a couple dallops of sour cream.

I'll be honest - I've had pizza all over Italy, and while most of it was very good, I do think America has the best pizza.

Thats because pizza as most know it is an american bastardization. Kinda like the chinese "eggroll".

Mushrooms. Second choice or additionally, onions and sweet peppers, but not that unripened green stuff.

Would consider sausage or pepperoni, if it is uncured.

Once and only once, ordered for takeout a pineapple pizza. Got home and the box was soaked. Most disgusting pizza I ever looked at. Had pineapple juice floating on the top of the "pizza". Threw that crap in the trash. Disgusting!

As I said, I've had it all over Italy so I can compare pretty well. "Bastardization" or not, I still think the best pizza is in the US. Pizza in Italy (and Europe in general) is different, but the core principles are the same.

Everything about America is bastardized, that's what makes us so awesome

Scallops came to mind with shrimp myself, but have never tried it.

When making a pizza and have those around, usually make a small scampi for a side personally.

Might try it on a white thin crust sometime.

It all varies a lot, even depending on the type of pizza

I'm still not a pineapple fan for pizza, but a lot of people love it.

A local place does a lot of pizzas with cream cheese as a topping (on top of the moz or provolone or whatever cheese mix they use) and it's surprisingly good. It has a little bit of both sweetness and sour that works well with many toppings, particularly jalapeños.

One of the specialty pizzas from their menu:

Jalepeño Popper
Jalapeños, bacon, cream cheese
