Really? Are conservatives really that desparate to trash FDR's legacy? Thats pathetic. Ask anyone who was alive back then about FDR. Learn something for once.

*Today's P&N Garbage Brought to you by Wikipedia. Wikipedia - where stupid people go to become experts on everything.*

There's nothing wrong with Wikipedia. Feel free to suggest an edit if you think it's wrong.

The problem is Asshat420 is making assumptions and jumping to conclusions. There's no reason to accept Asshat420's interpretation of the story. Without more information it's hard for me to get angry about a WARTIME president not doing something about a gift for two weeks. The guy was kind of busy and probably wasn't thinking too much about letter openers.

There's nothing wrong with wikipedia, there is something wrong with an idiot scouring wikipedia to come up with multiple stupid topics every damn day.

That's what my post was about.

What about Bockscar Day on August 9th??

Another great day in history, but overshadowed by the events of August 6th...the first nuk-u-ler weapon ever used in war...and between the two, ended Japanese aggression.

I've always thought we should have dropped MORE nukes...and let the Japanese know that they truly "woke a sleeping giant, and that our terrible resolve had yet to be satiated."

Yeah - so?

Obama hates white people. And you can't complain about him hating on you,... that makes you a racist.

Do not mistake poor Anarchist for a Conservative; if there is anything less coherent than his logic it is his politics.

Wait, wasn't this thread about Eugenics? Or did you finally look up what that word meant?

How are you not banned?

You are right, perhaps I should give conservatives more credit. I used to be one afterall, and still respect the logic/arguments of the many conservative friends I have. What should he be called? Neocon? Republican? Liberterian? Neither of those groups are particularly conservative.

Do you know the definition of eugenics?

Eugenicists believe in evolution, and generally believe in population control/reduction, and destroying and/or sterilizing the people they believe to be subhuman.

It's evident from his actions that FDR did believe that the Japanese were subhuman as did many Americans at that time.

First of all, the outstanding evidence is that he used the troops stationed at Pearl Harbor as an excuse to attack the Japanese. Then he imprisoned all people of Japanese descent living in CA on his own basis that they were a national security threat, when it was FDR who was the national security threat.

Truman was FDR's hand-chosen successor and Truman was to gain nothing militarily or economically by bombing innocent ~300k Japanese CIVILIANS. Due to the fact that there was no military victory be gained by doing so, that it didn't save American lives, and that the average American didn't profit from it, logical people would conclude that he did it because he hated Japanese people.

I don't get how it can be so hard for people calling me a retard, no less, to believe that FDR's political philosophy was largely based upon fascism when there is a ton of evidence that is a dead give away.

Nuke = Excuse for UN; one of the first steps into World Government. UN means global Eco-Fascism despite all the dis-info and window dressing.

Usually using things involving natural disasters (climate change is a big one) and consolidated and vertically integrated corporations to manage all aspects natural disasters. Classic Problem-Reaction-Solution. First thing that comes to mind is halliburton investing mad money into oil cleanup right after goldman sachs dumped massive BP stocks and right before the rig exploded. Something wrong here. Not only that I do believe eco-facism was embraced and promoted (used coined before) by those businessmen that head up these steering comittes. I don't have a citation yet though I wish I could find where I read that using environmental issues is the most reliable means of control and policy implementation. Maybe I read it in Ecoscience by John Holdren. Another one came to mind just now....Codex Alimentarius.

So...an oil equipment company invested in oil cleanup technology and an investment bank dumped the stocks of a poorly-run company. That's your evidence? You should read The Daily Bell - they're big on conspiracy theories.
