<< May I also recommend the Porsche 911 Turbo, Acura NSX, Corvette Z06, and Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 >>

I can't stop laughing... The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 in the same class as the 911 Turbo and the Z06?

If it's between a Viper and a Ferrari, I would have to go with the Ferrari in Europe and the Viper here in the states. Sorry Gregg!

If you weren't full of sh.., I'd say Ferrari anything over a Viper. Some of the Ferraris are simply beautiful. But spending $300,000 on a car if you don't already have everything else in the world is very, very stupid. Go buy your 21 year old ass a nice house. You've got plenty of time for toys later on, and you'll be better able to afford them with a paid for roof over your head.

I'd wait to check out a new Nissan Z, or I'd go with an Acura NSX, because I've always liked those.

EDIT, OK, so you've got a house. Well, go crazy, then! Ferrari!

For the money you're spending I would make sure I get a bonafide super car to boot, for this I suggest the Nissan R390 GT1, this car is listed for $1,000,000 but it has been reported to go for 1/4 that. If you can get past the Nissan name, you'll know you have a rare breed of cars on you hands.

the viper is getting redesigned soon. should have much better ergonics, e.g. you won't need a kidney transplant each time you drive it anymore.

You mean you haven't received it yet! :Q

I guess it takes time to download someone elses and make sure you replaced all instances of their name, with your own.

Ahh, that you'd contact me over AIM to get it...

now if only people knew the disregard I have for the comments - speaking of which, im sure there are a few members of this board who have dealt with me who know my company to be completley legit.

So, if anyone would like to continue providing productive info they are more then welcome to.

But everyone, keep in mind, the average family business nets an income of nearly 2 million dollars/year, and thats a family restaurant at a mall or something.

It's not as hard of a process as you think to make that sort of an income, aim me, I can explain to you how you may be able to quit from your mcdonaldjob.

Excellent!

I don't use AIM! I do use PMs though.

Lets suspend disbelief for a second and pretend you have $500,000 sitting around. I hope that before buying this car you have a house paid off. Furthermore you realize two things:

1) Invest this money now and your retirement is guaranteed. Isn't that better than a car?
2) Unless you are one in a million and actually able to keep your business doing so well a 21 year old with such a high income business is almost certainly going to see his profits fall in the crapper. There is a reason why .coms suck now. They used to turn your neighborhood net-surfer into a millionaire but sure can't now. Do you have staying power? If not put some money away for the future!

Mcdonalds is where you'll be working next year when your business goes belly up (how many 21 year olds can keep a business worth so much going? Especially in IT...). Make sure you save this money first because driving a ferrari one year and working at mickey D's the next driving to work in a used car won't be so fun!

the .com company is a new company, I still have my old marketing company to go back to.

Also, I'd like to dispell the belief that I have 500,000 dollars sittign around that I dont know how to spend. I'll have to borrow a tiny bit from the bank to get the car still, becuase all my current money is going into my newest company. It is one of those things that you've always wanted to do and it's one of those things which you'd do just about anything for.

One last thing, age isnt an issue. Which has been proved time after time, Jeff Bezos is a prime example. I've currently been consulting with microsoft regarding my new company, (some pemrission I need to obtain from them) and the other day I did an in person meeting, and there representative was a 24 year old. To become a microsoft partner representative you need to be quite high within the company. It just goes to prove its all about the effort, age isnt much of an issue.

You're 21, not a nostalgic 55 year old .

Put that money away. Don't blow all the cash you have on a car. Damn!

Anyway age is definitely an issue. Of course it is. With age comes experience. How many years business experience do you have? A few?

Irregardless if indeed you do have a business successful enough to allow purchase of that vehicle congrats, but IMO you're foolhardy blowing all your cash on a car like that and not putting some away.

Of course that is moot without any financial docs.

My uncle is a car dealer and has a '95 Viper RT-10. That car is awesome. His is bright yellow colored. It doesn't have much for "creature comforts" but its incredibly powerful. Watch out for that tailpipe though.

Even if this were true, you know there are Cost of Goods, Labor, etc? You may want to add the fact that a majority of these businesses close within a few years due to either lack of Revenue or the inability to control Expenses.

And second, even if it were true, I'd keep the BMW and invest any money you have in a Money Market or something. For a time when your .Com goes under. Because if you're worried about the Tech Market, you aren't in a B&M. (Brick&Mortar)

One thing you all have to understand is people who make a 7-figure income or even 6, don't talk about it. The smartest businessmen in the world listen more than they talk.

But we are talking about a 21-yr old kid here.

If I were 21 and had that much money to blow, I'd surely crow from the house top.

Back to the main question, I'll get a ferrari modena. I am more into pleasure driving on winding, hilly country roads than zipping on a short straight strip.

If you get the viper, make sure you get some spare engines as well.

OH so true. I sport a nice scar on my leg from a Viper ACR(?) that I was lapping one day, swung my leg out with it resting on the exhaust. I didnt have on protective pants, just nylon, so my pants melted to my leg and I was burned. painful.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if I remember correctly you can't buy a Ferrari (I assume from a legit dealer) unless you presently own one or have owned one. I saw this on Motor Trend TV
