<< Correct me if I am wrong, but if I remember correctly you can't buy a Ferrari (I assume from a legit dealer) unless you presently own one or have owned one. I saw this on Motor Trend TV >>

I seriously doubt that would be the case. That would be like, say, I'm going to start a cookie buisness. But you can't buy any of my cookies unless you have already tasted one.

WOW! You should go retro and get someone to reproduce a yellow Shelby Cobra. That would be cool, unique and powerful.

I think it more along the lines of them being elite and the fact that they sell out every year.

One of the cars does not belong in that sentence. Can you guess which one? :Q

if u really are that smart you won't be wasting all of that money on a silly car. Those are the type of things u buy when your old, retired, and have nothing better to do with your money. Cmon, haven't you ever seen the VH-1 special on MCHAMMER, please learn from the Hammer DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Invest it , save it, go buy a pack of gum, just don't waste it.

Maybe buying a new one but definitely not a used one. Most people buy used ones because it's almost impossible to get your hands on a new one.

That said, I'd go with an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage over those.

seriously a BMW is pretty nice. Maybe some people might not think so but I would love to have a bmw. I've never driven anything better than a toyota camry. If I ever get my M5 I will be happy in the sense that I have my dream car.

little side note, I seem to have a lot of these tonight.

Driving back to college today in my toyota camry on I-5 in California I was cruising at 90, which for some reason seems to be about the flow of the traffic something I couldn't believe, an M5 pulled up next to me waiting for the car in front of him to get over so that he could countinue on his way at well over 100. He pulled up slowed down to my speed and waited. The car got over in front of me, which kinda pissed me off, and the M5 literally LURCHED forward, as he probably floored, and pulled away from us with EASE and was gone from sight within a minute. Now if an M5 is nothing compared to a Ferrari and a Dodge Viper why would you need so much power. I don't know in my personal opinion I don't see the need for a Ferrari in normal everyday driving conditions when there are so many other cheaper options that can provide power even while going 90 mph, which I don't think is a legal speed anywhere in the US unless possibly montana. In other words in my personal opinion unless you got money coming out your ears I wouldn't buy either you already have a pretty nice car with lots of power. Don't get me wrong a Ferrari is awesome but knowing myself I could guess that my perfect record of no speeding tickets in my 4 years of driving would end very quickly.

I am Not Sure if you Can Get One for Canada, But I Would Go with a Nissan Skyline GT-R the r34 if possible..... Than YOu will Have SOmpthing that is a Great Performer & a great performer... If you Order one than you can also have motorex throw in there performance packages & Get it to around 500 ponies... If you Live Somplace with not always perfect road conditions than it would be a great choice due to the AWD......

...oh...and if it's between the Ferrari and the Viper...choose the Modena. Putting my hate for American cars aside for a second...even if the Viper was a Japanese car...like if it was a Honda Viper or something...I would still think it's ugly.

Hey Tanner (BTW...did you star on "Full House"? Your last name wouldn't happen to be Saget would it?), the Viper is too American AND ugly.

Why not something different that people don't have? Sure a Viper and Ferrari would simply look great, rule the road, etc, bu why not a sleeper in disguise?

Get a Lingenfelder Corvette. The car starts around $40k (USD) and the Lingenfelder mods can take the car up to the Viper range, but will make the car Ferrari performance. A vette that goes from 0-60 in 3.4 is nothing to joke about, Ferrari's are a bit faster, but not by much. You could either get the stroked engine, or the stage3 turbo'd engine which runs mildy slower in 0-60 (3.6), but is faster in the quarter. To top it off, they have a serious body mods for the Vette's -- barely anyone would know which car you own.

Having a Ferrari would be nice, but in the end, I'd still love to own a drive a Vette.

Wait a sec... while most replies seem to be agreeing on the Modena, how can you overlook the Maranello? The Maranello is at the top of Ferrari's lineup and according to your post, it's cheaper too? I know Modena's are selling well, but talk about dealer markup! Go Maranello for exclusivity... but then again, if status and taste is your objective, we'll have to start talking about the Classics.

BTW, here's an interesting read: linkypoo

Qosis is, of course, lying as we all guessed. Not only have I not received any proof of his income but his '99 325 xi BMW is just as fantastical as his money because in north america BMW didn't make a 325 xi in 1999.

LOL, man it's funny all the hits this thread got with people thinking they have 1st hand knowledge of exotic cars

Need for Speed and Gran Tourismo sure have huge effect on people's knowledge I never expected

The Modena has 450 cubes, the Viper 505. Not much difference if you ask me. Plus the new Viper doesn't have the magnetism of the old styling.

Exactly. The Modena looks much better than the Viper.

And it's a frickin' Ferarri! The Viper is a...Dodge...and when I think Dodge, I think "trucks"

<--- hates trucks.
