I have a question about fibre channel harddrives and controllers... why exactly are they so inexpensive compared to other forms of SCSI Harddrives? I don't know much about fibre channel at all so please start with some basics for me if anyone would like to answer... I see 10 packs of 18gb fibre channel 10k RPM harddrives go for less than $200, and it seems like they are a great deal, but I'm leary about what the problems with them are if they are so inexpensive. And, is fibre channel really SCSI at all? Thanks for any responses
