Not hot... More like mildly warm...

I paid $890 for my Inspiron 6000, the only things you have over me is the 17" screen (though my 15.4" is higher resolution than that one), 512MB of RAM (I ordered 256 and picked up 2x512 for $60 later), 60GB HD (I ordered the base 40 and upgraded later to the 80GB), XP MCE (which I just didn't care about on my laptop, but I know Dell forces you to get in some bundles), the 2915 Wireless card (which I did not need), and the TV tuner.

I did order the WSXGA screen for higher resolution, 128MB Radeon X300, Bluetooth, extra AC adapter and the sweet ass looking Charcoal quicksnap cover.

There's really not much difference between that laptop and any 6000 you could configure.

If it had the GF 6800 Go it would be hot...
