Lots of cute Asian girls.
From my experience, you won't do much on the first day. It's all introductions. The professor/instructor will explain the course and what you'll be doing over the semester. Some places throw you right into the thick of it, but it all depends on the teacher.
Since you're doing computers, laptop obviously. Pen and paper, calculator, and something to organize papers.
College is sort of what you make of it. There's nobody standing over you like in high school. You work, you do well. You don't, you fail. Just don't expect to go there just to have a good time. That's when you run into trouble.
College is more hands on than university. Classes are usually smaller. Mind you, I can't speak for the US. I liked my community college years a lot more than my time spent in university. I collected a lot of random trivia and murdered a lot of trees at uni, but I don't think the experience was worth the money I spent. I was a polisci major though. You're millage will vary.
