Nowhere near aggressive enough platform, looks like they just decided that they went too far into soccer mom territory with the 5th gen explorer and did a combination of 3rd gen and 6th gen explorer, downsized towards Escape territory since they decided to turn Escape into a hatchback sedan to replace the sedans they retired. It's hilarious.

Nowhere near aggressive enough platform, looks like they just decided that they went too far into soccer mom territory with the 5th gen explorer and did a combination of 3th gen and 6th gen explorer, downsized towards Escape territory since they decided to turn Escape into a hatchback sedan to replace the sedans they retired. It's hilarious.

Yup. And the new Ford Escape looks like they tried to rip off the upcoming Tesla Model Y.

It's odd that they didn't go more aggressive with the design. Polarizing, maybe, but I think people would have loved it!

Well, I have a different attitude about this. "An SUV should look like a vehicle you could encounter in the African bush. An SUV should look like an old Toyota Scout, or an earlier Toyota Land Cruiser. NOT like a giant jelly bean."

By that measure, even my 25-year-old Trooper looks more jelly-bean than SUV.

Bronco Sport looks like a Kia styled Land Rover LR series.
The concept Bronco always screamed "replace front windshield every 6 months"
The big Bronco has my attention since it is supposed to come with a manual. It might lose my attention due to "Ford engineering shenanigans"

that thing is way too massive for a Bronco. Should have given it a different name.

The Ford Bronco always was a 2 door including the OJ Bronco which was based on an F150 platform.
