First time trying to overclock

Since getting a new PC, I would like to try overclocking with my old one. The configuration is:

AMD 1600+ cpu AGOIA stepping
1GB HyperX PC3200 400mhx RAM w/heat spreader
Epox 8RDA+ mobo, ver 1.0
Volcano 7 heatsink/fan on CPU
Factory installed northbridge cooler
no cooling on southbridge or mofsets
Antec Case w Antec 350 PS

Any help would be appreciated
